My DH is a die-hard Democrat and an environmental scientist. He's a feminist, believes in marriage equality, racial justice etc. He is the biggest I've been with (9 inches and girthy). And he will get roughneck real fast if he has to.

NP - it means while he's normally mild-mannered, appearing docile, he'll turn into a beast if provoked. That's my DH too - very athletic and strong, yet very laid back and easy going, dresses elegantly, speaks 3 languages fluently, drives a nice car, etc., etc. but if you cross a line (crudely insulting, harassing, threatening me or the kids or anyone in the family), he's like the incredible hulk that will beat someone into submission. But while DH isn't the biggest I've had, he's by far and away the absolute best I've ever had and there's no close 2nd place.

So basically you're saying he has little or no impulse control, and thinks it's acceptable to initiate physical violence when someone uses •words• that provoke him.

He sounds like an unstable maniac. Not too mention a bully.

People like him are one of the reasons I carry a gun. Crazy people, with no self control and anger issues, who think it's ok to beat people they are upset at.
