The OP never asked for the # of weeks of vacation. I'm another teacher, but if you want to bring up vacation time, most of us teachers get closer to 15 weeks of vacation time. 9-10 weeks in the summer, 2 weeks in winter, a week in the spring and then about 8-10 holidays. The pay is only okay and the hours, when not on vacation suck (I put in 60-65 hours a week), but the vacation time is great. I just wish it was more spread out! |

mid 30s M, DC real estate, set my own schedule so it's hard to say how many hours i work. if you count industry-related reading and networking it's probably 60 hrs/wk. some days i cut out at 3 in the afternoon, sometimes i work until 9.

105k as a consultant for 20hrs of work / week. I set my own schedule generally, but days can differ from 2 hours to 8 hours. |
