Indeed, let's get back to what this board is good at... veiled racism, accusations of racisms, kvetching about test scores, and scheming to help lttile Johnny game the system.

They all get outside every day during aftercare, for a good portion of the time.

If it isn't enough, hire a babysitter for your kid and have them in the park for 3-4 hours.

Or, they could get the kids outside and not try to extend the school day.

I'm glad there are classes for kids who want to take them, but please don't make my kid sit in a classroom.

Reviving this thread--any updates to how CLS is doing with Lafayette aftercare this year (2021-2022)? Trying to decide whether to use it or CCPC next year. Thanks!

People like CCPC better generally, but it's hard to get a spot and more expensive. Sign up now if you want CCPC!

CLS has been fine for my PK4 kid. I've never had any issue with them not knowing where he is. He seems to like it.

For the younger grades - They pick the kids up at the classrooms, eat snack and then let them run around on the playground until about 445.. then they go inside and do a craft or some sort of organized activity. My Kid loves it.

That sounds great! Thank you!

My kid did CLS before the pandemic and loved it. These days I see them on the playground for a while, so the kids are getting lots of outdoor time. We never did CCPC though so not sure how it compares.
