He wouldn't be condemning free speech, dearie, he'd be condemning the sentiment behind the far-right white nationalist message of the marchers. |
Guess it depends, it your descended from slaves who were forced to work at plantations, torchured then murdered, you might see similarities. |
|
Looks like the police have declared the Unite The Right demonstration an unlawful assembly. Too bad, GOP and right wing. You will have to try again later.
CVille needs to act quickly and take these statues down now to remove the flashpoints. |
Yup. State of emergency. http://abcnews.go.com/US/unite-rally-virginia-sparks-counterprotests-state-emergency/story?id=49176243 |

Virginia Governor has now declared a state of emergency over the protests.

Oh, please Sweetheart, there isn't one bus there paid for by the GOP. However, there are vehicles there that had Antifa protestors getting out of them. Mac, The Nothingburger King, just declared a state of emergency. |
Just ran into McAuliffe in person in Alexandria 30 minutes ago. Glad he nipped this in the bud. |
Yes, tear down that history! The past must be censored! |
The name of the protest was "Unite the Right." The GOP may not have paid for their transpotrtaion, but the party has been promoting this hate for a long time. There is even a proud GOP Nazi serving in the GOP White House along with a former editor of an alt-Right publication. The GOP message to the country is clear. |
The nazi symbol is illegal in Germany, the sign of the confederacy is legal in the U.S. |
Why wasn't he in Charlottesville since this thing started last night? |
Smart move. |
Sure, the Confederacy threatened the whole world, it's exactly the same as the Nazis.
|
Why? Why should the President condemn anyone's views? "Dearie" - fascinating word choice. |
Nobody is proposing censorship. What a dumb statement. There is no need to honor and celebrate the dark parts of our history. |
