Nope, I just don't think those are "disorders" that warrant special parking spaces. Walking is good for pregnant women. I don't see how parking 20 feet closer to a store door because you have kids is any easier than parking two spaces over or 10 feet down. If a Vet is so bad off they need a close spot, they're probably handicap and can park in one of those spots. I'm also the type of person who throws a party and doesn't give a shit about your special dietary restrictions or fad diets you're on. GTFO with that gluten free nonsense treating it like some kind of holy grail of healthfulness. And you know what happens when you throw a party and don't fret over having enough vegetarian/vegan/GF options? People adapt. The vegans find stuff they can eat. The vegetarians find stuff they can eat. And the GF people, 9 times out of 10, eat the non-GF food and LIVE. You wouldn't believe how happy life is when you just don't give a f*ck about people's special snowflake-ed-ness. |
Why not just open the GPS app on their phone and use that? I work in DC and have for the past 12 years and even I still use my GPS app when walking to certain places in town that I don't go to often. |
I heard the thing about the close door button not working, so instead of pressing it, when I'm being impatient and want the door to close, I do a little jump to make the elevator think there are more people on the elevator and the door closes immediately..... |
People are hired to get the carts from the corral, yes. People leaving them willy-nilly in the parking lot are serious a-holes. Put it in the corral. |
good suggestion. I was on the opposite end of this situation this morning. I'm running up to catch an elevator and literally making eye contact with someone already in the elevator. She stared me down and didn't move a muscle to hold the door open or presss the button. Just stood there staring at me running toward the elevator as the doors close. I was sooo close, too. |
. STOP TALKING ALREADY. WE GET IT. ![]() ![]() ![]() |
Sorry, I was in a hurry. |
I also give domestic tourists wrong directions if they don't say "excuse me" first and just demand help. Figure it's good for them to explore interesting parts of our city. |
Typical. Didn't make her life any better, either. |
DP ADA, Americans with Disabilities Act. For a person in a wheelchair that is very important. Then you have old people with walkers. Any number of individuals who might need that extra 5 to 10 seconds. A mother with a child in a stroller and a toddler as well. Someone who just broke a leg. Hell, it might even benefit you someday if you live long enough. |
Oh well. Maybe she should work on herself too, then maybe she would t be so damn annoying. |
Doesn't matter if it's the right thing to do huh? Only if you are going to be slapped with a fine? |
They won't live long enough. They've admitted terminal douchism. Someone will kill'em. |
The fact that they would take spaces marked for vets and say its not a real thing just makes them a POS. |
I'm a wine drinker but dh likes mostly fine whiskey especially before his trip with the guys. Learned my lesson, but one night I didn't want to go up and get some wine so I helped myself to his special bottle. He wouldn't have cared, but I failed to ask. Well after a few I noticed it was down quite a bit and panicked because he was getting ready for a trip. And planned to take it for him and the guys. I added water so he wouldn't notice. When I was putting stuff in the motor home I looked in the freezer because that's where he puts the *whiskey bottle. Liquor doesn't freeze, BUT this was frozen! I immediately drove to the store and got him a new bottle and switched them out. ![]() |
