Remember that it's always ok to punch a Nazi, especially one that cries on TV.

I am sure the City will make such an arrest, when they have a policeman free to do so. Since they do not seem to have the resources to have a policeman regularly present at the arterial near my house, where people regularly speed, often make illegal right turns on red without stopping, and sometimes just run the red light I would suggest that may be some time.

Umm, Alexandria City has one of the highest number of police forces around. We are definitely not lacking in police people here.

Your source for this? Do you live in or near Alexandria?

There are many places in Alexandria where I would appreciate a greater police presence, both for traffic enforcement and other reasons. To me those are the priorities.

I am not sure I follow what you wrote, but no the police will not make that kind of arrest according to their policies to date. ICE will have to come and do it. I live in Alexandria as well, and I agree the traffic enforcement and pedestrian safety are HUGE problems here (if that's what you mean). Get more involved in the local government, ask council members about the policy. And take your issues re traffic to the pedestrian advisory board (I am serious).

What I mean is they are priorities. Until such time as there is a policeman watching for traffic infractions at EVERY dangerous intersection in the City, that is a priority over doing errands for ICE.

25% higher officers per person than what, a national average? An average that includes rural areas, areas with less crime and less traffic issues than Alexandria?

Thanks for proving my point. Alexandria has no particular surplus of police. And it has many things they need to address.

The quote provided was from 2015 for counties and city's with population between 100 to 200 thousand. Not sure how you get rural populations of that number.

Plus, if gathered in 2015 it may have been based on 2014 numbers.

Since 2014 and beyond, our Council has investigated and approved raising the numbers of the Alexandria police force. I will stand by my original statement that Alexandria City does have one of the highest numbered police force of local jurisdictions.

He has the nerve to sign up for a local gym, then gets confronted, has the nerve to ask Black trainers to assist him, and has his membership terminated, and then whines about it. What a little coward.

+1, Old Town!
