This happened yesterday:

"The brother of Keith Lamont Scott, the Charlotte man shot and killed by police whose shooting led to riots overnight, called all police and white people “f*****g devils” in an outburst to local media.

Asked if there was anything people should know, the man, Tim Jackson, responded, “Just know that all white people are f*****ng devils. All white cops are f*****g devils, and white people.”

Witnesses say he had a gun. Did he or didn't he? Why isn't the media reporting that? If he had a gun and wouldn't listen to police then he is at fault.

If whites make up the majority of the population (at least for now), statistically they have more chances of living in poverty.

not saying there's no oppression or root causes of poverty and oppression in black communities - which have led to some very ugly and dangerous situations

+ 1 Agree. How stupid is the defense that more whites are on welfare than blacks. There are more whites to begin with. More than half of black families are on some form of welfare, compared to fewer than one-in-four white families. A big reason for that is the out-of-wedlock births among blacks, and there's nothing white people can do to improve that. (And when I hear a black person excuse or rationalize the animalistic behavior we saw last night by talking about systemic racism or poverty they are unwilling to take at least some responsibility for, it seems hopeless.)

I wrote the initial above. I am heartened that in Tulsa, where the shooting is likely to be an over reaction, my opinion is that it was, there isn't rioting and looting. Black community leaders and churches are protesting, expressing their anger and wanting answers but are giving citizens a venue to come together and express freely their feelings. A few pics I have seen shows the groups to be black, and, white. Which is great.

What's the difference? Well, part of it has to be credited to leaders within the affected community.

FYI, over reaction is all I am willing to express at this time until the facts are known. I will allow the system to either work, or fail, before going further.

What's ignorant about refuting a ridiculous statement about more whites on welfare than blacks with a simple lesson about statistics? Of was the mistake putting some of the responsibility on the majority of illegitimate births in the black community and pointing out you can't blame whites for that?
