That also makes it easier on the writers if they want to skip time a little, which is often helpful when you're telling a story (like, they can skip ahead a year and we can see whether the actor brother is now working at Chippendale's because his career has been crushed).

I like Milo Ventimiglia a lot, so I hope he continues to feature heavily. If not, he can come hang out at my house. Anytime. I know it's not Thursday yet, but IHT.

Is Milo the guy who played Jess on Gilmore Girls? Which character is he on This Is Us?

I love this show so far.

I think the show is enjoyable, but very predictable. I thought it was very clear that they were family in the first episode. The info at the beginning trying to throw people off seemed kind of pointless. Just as it seemed inevitable that the mom (Mandy Moore) would ends up with the husband's best friend with all the build up of his character in regard to their relationship.

Why are people still questioning the Challenger reference? We don't know if the show takes place in present day or before. In the opening scene, the picture box has dates but we don't know if some of the dates are for future pictures.

I agree with the challenger bit. I am an early January 1979 birthday (so 37 atm) and I was in first grade and remember the launch vividly as well. I also remember it being a huge deal in our household (with a teacher parent). in our town at that time, my mother has told me, the cutoff for entering kindergarten was on the calendar year, so I just missed it. She could have protested, and entered me into K at age 4, but choose to wait. So, I would bet the kids were born in 1978-79. Just because the program aired on Sept. 20, 2016 - it could be set in any recent year (based on the technology seen).

I'm one who posted about being 36 and challenger being off, and like I said, I don't care but they got it wrong, OR they might reveal the character got it wrong. who knows, who cares but it's obvious they were supposed to be born I 1980 because of that news coverage of Iran in the hospital.

AGAIN I think it's immaterial and the show is still good.

I love Milo! he is sex on a stick for me and he's not even close to my type. I love his name too but DH vetoed that for our boy

I wonder if the bio dad died or something, and that's how she ended up with the best friend. I know the signs point to a troubled relationship between the mom and dad but the shows seems to have a lot of surprise twists.

The show is a bit slow, I wish the storylines moved along faster, but I like it enough to keep watching.

Man I hope so, because leaving Milo for that is indefensible.
