Yes. Thank you.

The list is impressive, but I'm not sure why anyone would expect it to be otherwise. Admission to the school is very, very selective - so it makes sense that those who are selected also end up going to selective colleges.

It would be nice to see lists from other high schools (McLean, Langley, Blair, Richard Montgomery, Poolesville, Privates etc.) only as an FYI purpose. Parents with kids in HS could get a realistic sense of what is possible in terms of admissions prospects etc.

Other high schools typically do the same thing TJ does and put out the list in the final issue of the newspaper. Students from FCPS high schools have gotten into every college on the TJ list, just not in as great of numbers. The top students at local high schools are on par with the top students at TJ (some are even more accomplished). At the margin going to TJ is unlikely to get you into a better college than you would have gotten into anyway.

That is not to take away from the accomplishments of TJ grads, or the concentration of acceptances to good schools. But as PP noted, you'd expect kids smart enough to get into TJ would have the chops to get into a good college. The curious ones are the TJ kids who don't.

Give me the 20 schools you would like to see for 2016 McLean and I will post them. We still have the end of year Highlander hanging around. I will say that I am of the belief that the students gets into the college and the individual student go goes to any of the HS you mention, including TJ would do as well. At this level it is the school that makes the student, it is the students that make the school.

Sorry for all the typos - I have fixed them

That is a very spread out list for McLean HS. Nice to see going the Williams, and plenty getting into the Virginia state schools.
