Students from FCPS high schools have gotten into every college on the TJ list, just not in as great of numbers. The top students at local high schools are on par with the top students at TJ (some are even more accomplished). At the margin going to TJ is unlikely to get you into a better college than you would have gotten into anyway. That is not to take away from the accomplishments of TJ grads, or the concentration of acceptances to good schools. But as PP noted, you'd expect kids smart enough to get into TJ would have the chops to get into a good college. The curious ones are the TJ kids who don't. [/quote]
