And this is the sort of vindictive egomaniac that you want representing you to the world? A man who takes an incident that should have been squashed by the next news cycle and turned into a month long pissing match?

I think it's great that he is posting the other pictures the media left out that shows what really happened. Also that he is sticking up for his campaign manager instead of throwing him under the bus. Yes someone who has loyalty.

Link to these other pictures please?

I found links -- Breitbart has these pictures. Because Breitbart is so impartial in this whole episode.

Maybe Trump could borrow Rubio's "bubble" to protect him from the horror of having a woman lightly brush his elbow.

Yeah, with the 30% of Republicans who already like him. Currently 63% of the country does not.

Of course, everything helps Trump. If by "helps trump" you mean putting another nail in his general election coffin. Trump may not need Hispanic, black, Muslim, handicapped, or prisoner of war votes, but he will need women (at least some of them).

Women in NC seem to love him. Surprising to me But the anger at DC is overwhelming and I think the quote i heard is. "Have you ever seen anything good from those talking heads?"

People outside DC associate these reporters with The politicians Now if the guy had hit a local reporter that people know it may be different but now it is a he said she said and no one believes the politicians and the reporters that surround them

You have been corrected on this point repeatedly. She never said anyone threw her to the floor. Why do you insist on repeatedly lying? Oh yeah, you are a Trumpeter. It goes with the territory.

Also, Trump is a well-known germaphobe. Field's light touching of his arm was probably the equivalent of being shocked with a cattle prod. Just what we need with the nuclear codes -- a neurotic lunatic whose immediate reaction to everything is to escalate.

Are you sure this isn't Trump himself? That trademark obsessive offensive-style defense...I mean, look at his Twitter re:this incident...that urge to impugn someone in every possible way and hope something sticks...how long before he posts an unflattering photo of Field and asks "Who would intentionally touch this woman?"

Anyone see that interview? People were posting for her to put some clothes on. Others were posting Trump or bust, pretty funny stuff.

There we go with the sexism again. Haven't you learned your lesson yet?

Haven't you learned? People were posting their horrible impressions of her. It's called observation based on her inappropriate dress and behavior.

Pull your head out!

LOL @ this PP. The "people" who were posting were you. You have probably posted half the messages in this thread today. Any Trumpeter who judges anyone on inappropriate behavior is -- at a minimum -- displaying a massive double standard. When the one being judged is female, that double standard can easily be considered sexism.

It is interesting to see that Trumpeter are consistent in how they react to being called on their BS. They hate being called racists worst then they hate being racist in the first place. Now I see that it is the same with sexism. They can't stand to be called sexist and if that deranged, terribly-dressed girl reporter who doesn't know her proper place would just shut up, this wouldn't be an issue.

This may be my favorite jeff call out post ever!

jsteele wrote:Has anyone else been paying attention to the Breitbart soap opera? I'm ashamed at how much I'm enjoying it. For those who haven't followed developments, here is a recap:

1) Following a Trump rally, Breitbart reporter Michelle Fields started asking Trump a question as he was passing through a crowd of reporters and photographers;

2) Fields was roughly pulled from behind by her arm, almost falling to the ground and ending up with a bruised arm;

3) Fields believed her assailant was Trump campaign manager Corey Lewandowski and that was confirmed by Washington Post reporter Ben Terris who witnessed it;

4) Lewandowski denied that he had touched Fields, called her "deranged", and said he had never even met her;

5) Breitbart's editor asked Trump's campaign for an apology but Trump himself denied anything had happened Fields;

6) The Daily Beast (or maybe the Daily Caller, one of them) published a leak that Lewandowski had told the Breitbart editor he was sorry for roughing up Fields but he didn't recognize her and thought he was from the mainstream media (both Lewandowski and the editor deny this);

7) Brietbart folks began both defending and questing Field's account and eventually Breitbart published an article accusing Terris of the Post of misidentifying Lewandowski (Terris stands by his identification);

8) Brietbart based it's claims on video showing Lewandowski on the opposite side of Trump from Fields, but video has emerged showing Lewandowski moving behind Trump and reaching his arm toward Fields, providing video support if not complete proof of her claims;

9) An audio recording of Terris and Fields just after her assault supports their claims that it was Lewandowski;

10) The PR person for Breitbart resigned due to the lack of support for Fields and claimed that Breitbart was in the bag for Trump;

11) Fields filed a criminal complaint against Lewandowski;

12) Fields and Breitbart report Ben Shapiro both resigned in protest with Shapiro saying that Breitbart had been turned into "Trump's personal Pravda";

13) A leaked email showed the Brietbart editor had been pursuing a job as a speech writer with Trump's campaign;

14) After Fields and Shapiro resigned, Breitbart published an article ridiculing Shapiro;

15) The article was published under a pseudonym used by Shapiro's father and revealed the Shaprio's father's true identity;

16) The article was removed and replaced with an "Editor's note" saying that a staffer had inappropriately published the article (the "staffer" and the "editor" are one and the same);

17) Shapiro's father also resigned from Breitbart and more resignations are expected.

Yes, the series of shots from the L show that the Trump campaign manager is aggressively approaching her .

Look at the photo series the BBC has published, particularly check out the focus of Lewandowski 's facial expression as he hones in :

http://www.bbc.com/news/world-europe-35919863[url]

That is the face of assault.

Now Trump doesn't even look up from his iPhone, does not even seem to notice

My take is NOT that Corey Lewandowski was trying to fend off a journalista, but rather an attractive woman , a very attractive woman whom Trump appears to be talking to while he is simultaneously on his phone ( as in, sure, lets talk later , what is your cell phone number )

check out the focus of Lewandowski 's facial expression as he hones in

This.

Her claims do not match what is seen in the video. The guy probably does this 20 times a day. She was firmly pulled away from Trump, not "almost pulled to the ground". This woman is trying to make a name for herself. Trump's crowd should have handled it better, but they will learn.

The video is quite clear. He did not push her down or abuse her. He was trying to have the other guy out of the way and she was hit incidentally

And since when has dcum support breitbart. Early references to them about immigration were either deleted or derided as racist

What caused the change ???

Yes, and moderators should be just that; objective not taking a side.

The icing on the case of this story is that Lewandowski is being represented in the case by a lawyer who had to resign as a federal prosecutor after biting a stripper. I know that violence towards women is a frequent campaign issue these days. However, it is unusual for candidates to seemingly be in favor of it.

Of course, its true, but Jeff where did you find this ?

I saw the original interview with Megyn Kelly I don't think she every said she was thrown to the floor. Just that she was pulled down so hard she almost fell.

I've looked at the video multiple times, didn't see anything like that either.

One of the reporters I follow on Twitter mentioned it with a link to back it up. I think Media Matters might have been the original source, though I'm not positive about that. Subsequently, I saw it repeated several times by other reporters.

What does she have in her hand?

In her hand? Looks 100% like the button end of an ordinary ball point pen to me.

Weird question. Maybe Trump's bubble world only accommodates recognition of a $1000 Mont Blanc fountain pen?

1. Breitbart is the right's equivalent to Mother Jones or HuffPo. No one takes them as serious journalists. Congratulations to the posters here that figured it out.

2. This "battery" charge is a joke. Unwanted touching by another person is technically a battery. I get batteried in the Metro every day. This so-called "reporter" needs to put her big girl pants on if she wants to be an aggressive beat reporter. Also, from looking at the video, I don't see where she was "almost pushed to the floor". The anti-Trumpers are getting desperate I guess. This charge will get laughed out of court.

This Michelle Fields also has her name involved in the Ted Cruz affairs story. I'm guessing she likes attention or is some kind of nut job.

I am not a conservative but this frivolous lawsuit has no merit. It may be an attempt to deflect Cruz's sex scandal. From the video at no point she was pushed to the ground as she originally claimed. You can't even tell if she is bumped or not from the video. Can she be sued for filing bogus lawsuit?

She never claimed to have been pushed to the ground. What's funny is that Lewandowski claimed that he never touched her. He obviously lied.

For the record, she can't be sued for filing a bogus lawsuit because she didn't file a lawsuit. She filed a criminal complaint and local prosecutors decided the evidence supported pressing charges.

I wouldn't rule out the possibility that he erred rather than lied, as this is the kind of "battery" that almost certainly happens daily on the campaign trail given the crowding and jostling, etc., and I could see it being forgotten soon after it occurred. He certainly needs to explain himself given the video, however, and he does sound like kind of a jerk, and not in the fun way that Mr. Trump sometimes does.

But, in any event, I have utter confidence in the courts of the State of Florida to sort though the facts and do justice in connection with this heinous crime. Let justice be done, though the heavens fall! (Would that such crimes were as aggressively prosecuted here in the District; I've been subject to such criminal battery often on the metro myself. lol)

You've often had people grab your arm so hard that they left bruises or something similar?

No, but I have often been intentionally touched by others against my will, which technically meets the elements of the Florida statute. You haven't had someone press against you to force their way into a crowded Metro car? I have. Often. intentional, touch, against my will. How does this not meet all elements of Florida criminal battery as cited upthread? If you are saying that prosecutors can and should exercise judgment against bringing such charges, I agree. So too here. This is a trivial amount of contact that would never be charged in the run of the mill case.

Here is the description that I provided in the first post:

"Fields was roughly pulled from behind by her arm, almost falling to the ground and ending up with a bruised arm".

That is fully supported by the video. Moreover, Lewandowski claimed not tot have touched Fields at all. He has been shown to be a blatant liar. Why would the Trump campaign -- including the candidate -- engage in a campaign of lies and personal attacks over something that "happens all the time"?

At the very least, this should be another demonstration of why Trump is too unstable and erratic to be anywhere near the nuclear codes. Something that could have been resolved by simply saying, "I'm sorry" has run on for weeks and has in campaign manager in a Florida courtroom a week for the Wisconsin primary.

Did he know it was Fields? Fields is known to be a bit of a loose cannon.

Are you suggesting he planned to pull her arm, sought her out, call her deranged, and lie about it? I assumed that it was just an unplanned incident.

I'm saying he probably didn't recognize her in the scrum.

They're going to need to be careful and start banning these types of people. There's a pattern of behavior with her.

You were asked in the other thread to prove that she has a pattern of this behavior. Are you ever going to do so?
