Wives, do you fold and put away your husband's laundry?

We both make a lot of money. We have a housekeeper. She washes everything and puts it away. She also does all the grocery shopping and veggie/fruit washing and cutting and basic me prep. She keeps all the closets and cabinets organized. I hate those type of domestic duties. When we used to do that ourselves we always felt like we were running in place. Nothing stayed clean and the fridge always emptied out and clothes always got dirty. No thanks. Ive only used my washer and dryer maybe a dozen times in 2 years.

Good for you! I love doing all that stuff, esp in lieu of going to an office every day.

I'm still pondering how basic and simple ADL's (activities of daily living) result in one "running in place."

Not PP, but I want to shoot myself in the head sometimes given that we are ALWAYS doing dishes, doing laundry, picking up toys, sweeping up dog hair, etc. It's mind-numbing how it never ends.

I make more money than both of you, combined, guaranteed.

My DH is the main laundry person. When clothes are clean and folded he leaves them sitting on top of the dresser (both his and mine). Every now and then I get tired of looking at his pile and I put the clothes away, but often, it's just the stuff he's going to wear for the week so if it sits it's not a huge deal.

He will put away the kids' stuff. He doesn't always know where my stuff goes so he doesn't put it away.

When I have told people over the years that my DH does most of the laundry more than one woman has acted like I've just mentioned that he's curing cancer.

I hired someone to do the laundry. But, I do put my clothes away and DH's, because he won't do it and I hate looking at the basket of folded clothes. I may start putting it in the closet -- great idea!

When our mother's helper is away, DH does most of the folding, but I do all the cleaning for the most part.

FFS you people need something better to talk about at dinner.
Laundry?
Here is a list to get you started:
Steve Harvey and the Miss Universe fiasco: publicity stunt or honest mistake
Using photo altering apps on pictures you post to FB- is it obvious? And who's doing it?
The price of craft beer
AARP official age is 55. How do we feel about that?

Seriously, boring city.

And you wonder how some SAHMs get a bad rep.--DH

Well now that is another topic these poor people could use instead of talking about laundry folding habits. Thank you both for participating.

Yes. He cooks most of the time so I deal with laundry.

You need to ponder this? How long did you ponder it? Are you still in a state of ponder? It's not hard to figure out.

Whoever folds the laundry folds it all and puts it all away. That could be either of us, just depends on who has time and feels motivated.
