| it's actually the liberal media and lib leaders who are making Trump very popular. People are just sick of the constant lies the liberal media feeds everyone to make everyone else agree with them so when Trump tells the issues going on in a blunt manner the lib media is quick to criticize and makes him topic after topic of discussion of why he's wrong and make it sound like his supporters are buffoons when in reality they are just feeding you more lies (the lib media) |
You sound like a Nazi yourself. |
Just a heads up - it's never going to get better. This is my dad now. He's gotten more and more conservative as he gets older. My parents are at a point where my mother refuses to talk politics with him and he has to watch Fox News in the basement. She can't listen to that cr@p every day. I truly believe she'd leave him if he didn't follow this rule. And they are in their 70s married 50 years. |
Sure it always someone else fault. |
Conservatives are always the victims of evil libtards...they are just the friendliest nicest, "bless your heart" people you can imagine. They smile at you when they give you the finger, dontcha know? |
Hitleresque?! - The level of stupidity on this forum is astounding. Yes, you disagree with Trump. I get it, but to paint him as a Nazi or the next Hitler is beyond the pale. Have we really reached the point in our nations story that we need to vilify anyone who doesn't agree with us? |
LOL! +1 will you be my new BFF? |
It was hilarious. Lighten up. Yeesh. Some of you just suck all the fun out of life. |

So, here's the weird thing -- given today's story in the WaPo about the focus group with pollster Fred Luntz, where individuals who were shown criticisms of Trump only supported him more strongly, what is the right way for OP to effectively respond to DH.
The article suggests that the more you confront Trump people with disagreements, factual errors, etc., they only becoming MORE supportive of Trump. Maybe OP should just ignore her DH's political comments not confront? |
Unfortunately, it doesn't seem like you respect her much, either. |
Have we really reached the point in our nation's story where we are seeking out ways to "legally" discriminate against people of one specific religion, and watch without comment as one potential "leader" runs on that as a platform? |
We have RETURNED TO that point in our nation's history. People don't get - because it has passed out of living memory - that before the Depression/WW-II generation - things in this country were a lot nastier all around. Ethnic/Religious Xenophobia are absolutely nothing new. The nice thing to remember is that, slowly but surely, we keep nudging along in the right direction - away from the politics of people like Trump. |
+1. People don't remember or didn't learn our xenophobic history prior to WWI and II. And, I am hopeful we will move away from Trump, although I never thought I'd be happy to see Cruz or Rubio's increasing poll numbers! |

Boo hoo! You married a real man.
You should have married a "hillary man" |
Your poor sister, you sound like the sister from hell. |
