But above said scores were actually not good...

Why do so many people on this board seem to have it in for MV? Having good schools in DC is not a zero sum game - MV can be great (or not) without it affecting whether other schools are great. It seems like YY used to get beaten up a lot on this board and now not so much - maybe schools just attract more egg throwing in the first few years when there may also be more vocal boosters posting and so others feel the need to tear a school down.

Well, Oyster has been around for over 40 years (as a bilingual school), and some folks on DCUM love to hate it. Post anything nice (and factual) about the school, and watch the Oyster-bashers pounce. This problem is not unique to MV.

IT has bad scores yet families still love it. Not sure if test scores and popularity matter for the EC groups.

Bad scores? They are in the mid 70s about the same scores as Hearst, Brent and Shepherd. They are higher than established charters like Stokes abs Cap City. The list a while back showed that they had like top 5 scores (higher than some JKLMs) when comparing non FARM scores. Did you mean IT or a different school?

Aren't all the scores expected to be terrible this year due to bring the first year of PARCC?

When are all the scores coming out? I would guess the scores by SES at MV will be comparable to other schools.
