They won't see what you and I see and what we KNOW has taken place there over the last 100 days. They have already made up their minds and we will not convince them otherwise. I love the pic and I love your post. |
OJ made it to trial. |
| ^ still flawed system. |
Interesting because even the police themselves said this morning that a small % of the people protestors actually looted. But please, don't let me interupt your narrative. |
You are right. I was pointing out that for the person trying to liken this to the OJ case - OJ was charged, went to trial and was vigorously prosecuted. Based on the DA's "speech" last night, can anyone truly say that he was a vigorous advocate for an indictment? |
Not as embarrassing as when kids looted at Penn State because they fired a man who enabled a child abuser. These people are powerless and they have a lot of anger because of the way the system works in this country. I don't blame them. You live for years watching shit like this happen to your friends and family and people in your community. You live watching nobody in the country care about you and think you are less than human. What can you do but rage? |
I doubt you'd say that to Jewish people. Just get over those incinerators. You can't stay stuck in history forever. Geez!
|
It doesn't even take something like that a Penn State. UMD damn near destroyed the campus, and this is after a sports game! And not just UMD either. Whites are just letting off steam, not rioting. |

I have been watching interviews of some of the business owners whose shops were severely damaged or totally destroyed last night. My heart is broken for these people. This is how they make ends meet - this is their livelihood. Most of them are near tears and just cannot believe the destruction. And, most are African American.
I would like to see these interviews played over and over on every network and on large TVs throughout Ferguson and the rest of the country. We need to “give a face” to the businesses that have been damaged and destroyed. It may not stop all the criminals who decide to loot and set fire to businesses, but I can’t help but thinking it might change a few minds. I also hope those who chose to cause destruction are identified, arrested, and prosecuted. There is ample video of these thugs. |
Great picture! This is what you DO NOT see presented on CNN, FOX, MSNBC, etc. One picture is worth a thousand words. People like 12:40 should be summarily dismissed and ignored. They have nothing positive to offer and are no better than the looters/rioters. |
You are missing the point. Jews have not forgotten but they have moved on. AA have not forgotten and they still don't know how to move forward from their history. It's ok to talk about history, learn from your history, and make your life better from that lesson. It's NOT ok to fall back every single time. |
This. |

Move forward from their history? Racism was the law in my lifetime. Do you also think that, if you stop adding to your credit card debt, your balance will just disappear? If you sincerely want to learn from history, read this: http://www.theatlantic.com/features/archive/2014/05/the-case-for-reparations/361631/ And actually read it. Don't do this: 1. Read the title. 2. Stop reading. Do not read past the title. 3. Explain that racism is over. |
No, he didn't follow the law. A district attorney is supposed to push for an indictment, not pretend that he's leaving it all up to the grand jury while secretly pushing for a non-indictment. |
