You are giving them too much credit (I'm AA BTW). They were probably plotting which stores they would hit even before the announcement. |
Well written. |
|
It's an opportunity to get stuff without paying for it. Just like welfare, foods stamps, housing vouchers, etc....
Of course there are people who truly need temporary help. However, when "assistance" becomes a lifestyle choice, this is what you end up with. ~An entitlement society. |
| You are trying to apply logic to emotions. Clearly, there is an ever growing segment of our society who feel disenfranchised. And who can blame them?! They have been living through "stop and frisk" and have been more affected by the huge recession. What do you think happens if you constantly assume someone is a criminal based in their skin color?! |
I don't think the looters go thru this much thinking consciously or subconsciously. To them, it's just free stuff. |
Its called, Five Nights at Ferguson |
| Looting is a free pass to act like the asshole you are and likely get away with it! It is also like a holiday "welfare" bonus! Was there looting when the OJ verdict came in??? |
| Have you asked white college kids what the point of their looting is? Why should a football or basketball victory bring on violence toward "the man"? |
|
And then people wonder why stores and businesses close down and move out of the neighborhood.
Respect is lacking within the community itself. I don't care what else is going on politically. Those who are willing to set up shop and provide for residents are robbed, looted, burned. They move their businesses and families out and leave behind a wasteland. |
Looting is stupid regardless of race. |
That's not because of looting its because of Amazon. |
|
The Sons of Liberty looted during the American Revolution. We certainly don't view them as criminals or as "stupid", why is that? |
Actually, if the Sons of Liberty were carrying a stolen TV out of Ye Olde Tavern then yeah, I'd call it stupid also. |
I mean close down and move elsewhere, not necessarily fail, though that happens too. |
