Do you ever find yourself totally consumed by a book that it sticks with you? Too long?

Cheryl Strayed's book, Wild. Made me cry. It started out so slow and ended up being wonderful.

Me too. I'm Jewish, but I found it riveting. Rumor Godden is such a wonderful writer.

Yes, I don't like her slapstick comedy at all -- I basically skipped over those parts. The Doomsday Book also utterly slayed me.
