Is VT one of the schools with a strong honor code? I don't think this is necessarily about a boy. When I saw that both were life sciences majors, I wondered if Michelle might have approached Sam about helping her cheat on an exam or lab report, then freaked out when Sam declined and/or threatened to report an honor code violation.

This is not Ewing’s first run in with the police. According to Virginia Tech Police arrest records, Jessica Michelle Ewing was arrested on Feb. 2, 2012 for trespassing at Saunders Hall. She was later charged with trespassing and storing wildlife unlawfully.

Her body was not found until Monday, my daughter is Jessica's roommate, never knew the girl until she moved into a townhome with her. She was extremely secretive, weird and had obvious mental issues. The police on one occasion that I know of knocked on the door looking for her because she had missed a session and someone reported a well check and the police asked her "was she having any thoughts of hurting herself or others" Another obvious case of the mental system failing us again. There were many other instances of bizarre behavior by Jessica and also by some of her friends. My daughter had met Sam while she had been over watching movies with Jessica and described Sam as very quiet and sweet. From behavior and things my daughter has witnessed out of Jessica, I believe, she committed this crime on her own but did enlist the help of friends to try and cover it up. Jessica was at Sam's apt on Friday nite with her.
