You need to let it go... its you with the problem.... seven pages of comments later. Its an average school, overpriced public school you pay for... It was a naughty boys school that evolved into an average private school. Those are facts... now let it go. You dont need to have the last word. |

Bullis beat up on Landon yesterday in football. The game was very close the first half of Bullis. Bullis RB took one to the house (65 yards) as time expired in the first half. A fight broke out right before halftime, and a Bullis player was ejected for swinging punches. Ironically, this same player was asked to leave Landon for cheating violations and discipline matters during his freshman year. He ended up at Bullis. Ironically, he is a hell of a football player too.
This pretty much sums up what is going on at Bullis and the heavily emphasis on football and basketball. |
So OP, are you happy now with what you have started? What if your child goes to Bullis at some point? What if your child goes to another school and someone plays some ill-advised music? What then? Is there a perfect school out there that meets your standards? |
Glad this was raised. Songs with the "n word" in them are not appropriate for a public, supposedly family-friendly event at a school. If the parent population at Bullis believes otherwise that's worth knowing. |
Wrong. Someone from Bullis was ejected for leaving the sidelines when there was a bout of shoving on the field. Nobody was swinging punches. |
This post might be more pathetic than your strawman one. |
Your posts are pathetic. Blind allegiance isn't an argument nor are your ad hominem attacks. So you are sponsoring this music and these recruiting practices. Sure your children are well raised. Your are either a student or alum of Bullis and are BLIND. |
| 18:13 were you watching the same football game. Clearly you are a Bullis parent or player. #21 for Bullis was kicked out of the game for throwing a punch during the scrum before halftime. He was throw out of the game and Cilento exploded but the Bullis headmaster was standing right there to calm him down. #21 was ejected from the game and by IAC rules he will be most likely suspended for the next IAC game. He was also asked to leave Landon for cheating infractions after his freshman year but somehow ended up at Bullis. He is a great football player though. |
Part of the "privilege" of plunking down $35,000 for this joke of place - is having cohorts that raise the bar.... obviously this cohort lowers it - but Im sure season tickets to Bullis will sell out like they do for Notre Dame? Uh - I dont think so... |

here is another example of the football reputation from Bullis. Fighting and ejections seem to be more than norm than the exception. |
| Bullis defeated Episcopal 54-22 yesterday, to win the IAC banner outright. I was at the game (along with my children)...no fights, good sportsmanship, positive student fans singing the Alma Mater. To the OP, I am sorry for your experience at the game a few weeks back. Please know that our experience (in LS, MS, and US) has been characterized by a wonderful commitment to equity and diversity at this school. |
By the "N" word you mean the word "nigger?" Spell it out. Words won't bite. |
It is nice to see someone from Bullis take accountability on this. The endorsement seems sincere and solid, too. That said, there is a smelliness to the Bullis athletic department and its recruitment practices that cannot be ignored. Bullis plays Prep this week. This is particularly ironic because it was the whining of Bullis a few years back that led to Prep's removal from the IAC for football competition. Now, Bullis has forged its own "reputation" for getting in high performing athletes late in their high school careers. All of these recruiting machinations taint the Bullis IAC banner. Too bad for the kids, but there is a lesson here, too. |
