There are some clothing made in India. I shop on Amazon.com and SAKKAS had beautiful tops mostly sleeveless, most are 100% cotton and some are cotton blend. They are free size which means it'll fit size 1 to size 12/14. I wear 14, they fit just right on me. look for my reviews F. M. Green. I give as much detail as possible. BTW they need to be hand wash only and hang to dry since there are details. |
Don't forget rich. |
Pretending to be rich. They give themselves away when they describe the food they eat. |
I am ditching the (probably re-gifted) Chico's clothing my unfriendly in-law gave me, today, right now--and guilt-free! |
I often find myself drawn to Chico's colorful tops when I'm at the thrift store (where I buy all my clothes--I can afford much more expensive lines that way)--but put them right back when I see it's a Chico's. It's the way Chico's tops are CUT that's the issue for me. The cut looks matronly and old lady-ish, like it's designed to cover up a big, fat belly. I'm 58, fit, and don't look my age, and I'm not going to let my clothes give me away. I refuse to wear stuff that my Mom would have been comfortable in. Even when I'm officially an "old bat" (some would say that's now!) I'm never going to dress like one. I told Coldwater Creek to quit sending me their damn "grannywear" catalogs 15 years ago. I wear Ed Hardy and Christian Audigier because tops and jeans I love the tattoo art inspired designs (but I don't have tats). Lots of clothes are too old or too boring for me. I HATE boring! |
Ed Hardy? Seriously? Anyone who wears that is in no way qualified to say what's in or not.. |
Best line ever from "this is 40" movie when Leslie Mann said "I am not ready for shopping at Chicos". It represents the end of youth and middle age and embracing the golden years. Honestly, I think it's refreshing when a person embraces their age and dresses age appropriate. I am 37 and guilty of shopping at forever21 and wearing uggs. Not ready to "act my age" fashion wise I guess. |
Really? I would never limit myself to buying or not buying a certain brand because of a stigma attached to it. If I like something and it fits well and I feel good in it, I buy it. Oh yeah, I'm 54, and slim and yes I do have a few items from Chicos as well as many other brands. |
Iget most of my clothes at chicos becouse frankly they fit, I like vibrant colors and Banana Republic makes clothes for short and thin people, which I'm not .And like more the European type of clothes .i find every thing well coordinated and with taste ,not only me but my friends also |
I bought stock in Chico's 10 years ago. I think it's a great company and love their clothing and jewelry. I mix it in with other things, but I'm curvy (not fat) and I like their pants/jeans. I'm 42. |
Seems most of their clothes made in Viet Nam...use Asian size models to cut the patterns. Asian women and Americam women have different body types, we are bigger boned, so clothes never quite fit right. I hope for an American designer!
Eileen Fisher does well but expensive. Chicos aims to be chic but does not quite hit the mark! Db |
While I'm not a fan of many of Chico's colors and patterns. They are often too bright and busy for my taste. Once in a while I've gotten something nice there, however. Last summer I got a really elegant maxi dress that I love. You just have to look and be selective at Chicos. Too much of that stuff will date you. |
Ed Hardy? Are you Snooki's mom? |
I don't hate it; I only know it by website, but I've never been there... |
Their shirts are not my style, but I went in there recently to buy a gift for my mom, and I actually loved their casual pants. I didn't have time to try any of them on, but I'm going back. They looked like they were good-quality and did not look frumpy at all. They came in neutral colors and just looked like something I would wear. |
