I don't work at work anymore

I feel absolutely no guilt. After a while people tend to get paid according to their productivity. If I worked four times as hard I should be on $800K. But I don't need any more money.

I don't understand this work ethic thing. Why should working hard be preferable to being more relaxed and enjoying life? All this "the bosses know who you are" thing is bullshit too. Good bosses judge you purely by your results, and won't care how much time you spend on DCUM.

What is your profession?

Don't you have to log your time (for billing clients)?

Like those whacky Nazis?

That's what I thought, too...

have not read this entire thread but wanted to give OP a positive story - a former coworker of mine did almost no work for at least 5 years. I honestly don't know what she did other than make calls related to her kid. but she did always seem smart, the job just wasn;t a good fit for her. eventually a friend from grad school hired her and she got a new job. the new job was a much better fit and she started working hard and has been promoted several times. So it may just be that you need a new job!
