I was frustrated too! #1 - 27, first time; #2 - 29, as soon as fertility returned; #3, 33 - took 6 months. Phew, because we are at the outer end of the spacing we wanted. OB said "just takes longer, especially as you get older." |
Age 34: two months
Age 36: one month (six weeks along with this one) |
I am a FTM at 40 and we have been trying for 4 yrs, for some reason I thought there were quite a few women in my age group FTM in this area but does not look like there are or are posting.
This was an interesting quick browse. |
Hmm. I used condoms only for birth control with my husband for five years. We got pregnant the first time we tried, that is, the first time we did not use condoms. Before getting pregant I wondered if we would have fertility problems since in five years we never had an "oops" moment with condoms, but I guess they really do work well! FWIW, I got pregnant while on birth control, before the condoms. |
Oops babies can happen to anyone. I got preggo on iud, so it's not like always a not trying but not stopping it scenario. |
Just curious, since I have an iud as well--I've heard it can be very dangerous to be pregnant with an iud since the iud is, well, in the uterus. Would love to hear more about your story. It's what gave me pause about getting an IUD. |
Age 32, 4 months. Got pregnant the first month I used the Clearblue ovulation predictor. |
Age 28, pregnant after about two months of very haphazard trying. |
Also 40, FTM. Stopped using bc in April 2010, got preg Nov 2011 (but miscarried), and 26 weeks pregnant now. Feels like a long haul, but I think we're lucky considering we never used any meds or medical interventions. |
