You should have said, well in my country, we believe in equal rights and financial and educational opportunities for women so they don't have put up with that BS and be stuck in a marriage with a cheater. And by the way, you need to tell your son the same thing about infidelity.

Wrong
The cost of child care is so high that women are not able to go and support a family on a nurses or a secretary's or an office workiers salary, so you are stuck

Well if you don't like our country then why on earth are you still here?

Americans are known in Europe as being loud mouthed and rood.
Many who come here have the initial impression that this society is crazy.

Rood? That's the tee-hee of the bunch.

I would never think of saying that to someone.
Afterall, this land was stolen from the red man.

Why is it smug to believe your country is great? I'm not a chest-thumping "proud to be an american" song loving types, but I love my country. It has flaws. Every country does, even your "higher quality of life" European country. But, I do think you should thank your lucky stars to live here. Yes.

I get seriously pissed off when people come to it and get to take part of the many great things it has to offer. The freedoms we have here. And, then come on here and piss and moan about it and the "smug" americans. Plus, it is MY HOME. Yes, I get pissed about people trashing my home.

Nothing smug about believing your country is great. Never said that. I also think the US is pretty great and it is my home now too. But my home country is great too, and your automatic assumption that I have come here for a better life and I should now be eternally grateful makes me think of you as smug, and ignorant too.

You can call me whatever you want. I don't much care. And, yes, I do think you should be gratefull. I'll say it again b/c that seems to bug you so much.

I'm not the one bad-mouthing my adopted country for no apparent reason other than you can (I would not do such a thing and many others would not, either). Criticism is one thing. Sniping for no reason is quite another. But, as you are rude enough to do so about the country you profess to call home-for no constructive reason whatsoever- that makes you rude. So, I shouldn't be surprised to know that you are also a bitch.

I never said anything bad about the US, I believe you are confusing me with a prior poster. I said that the US was great and then you said I bad mouthed my country and called me a bitch. Perhaps you should read closer (also, your spelling and grammar are terrible for a native English speaker). I can recommend a place for lessons if you are interested.

Wow, I would much rather have some foreighner bash the US than listen to some dcum poster call someone a bitch.
