Summer camps.
And how is it MAY and you're just now thinking about summer plans? This is what you should be doing in January. |
The OP says the kids are in camp. How is it you don't read the post before replying? |
I am missing the part where the OP says the kids are in camp. I just see OP saying last year she used babysitters and leave. And then asks how to do it without camp. But, hey, thanks for checking on my reading comprehension! Totally read the post - and nailed it! How'd you do? |
"Last summer was I took a lot of leave. Couldn't think of another way to handle camp and no school." |
When I was at a firm I billed my client for work travel. Time = money. |
+1 |
Wtf are you to prattling on about? Camp age kids are in backless boosters, usually. If your kid is younger, he should be in daycare or with a nanny. |
| This doesn’t work every day but I scheduled some doctor appointments so I could take sick leave and then pick the kids up. |
No, kids 5-12 should be in a variety of car seats depending on their height, weight and fit. They should not be in backless boosters till 8-10. |
Same. I don’t understand why this is hard to figure out. It was not particularly easy, but we searched for a camp with our parameters, including location, cost, and available hours. One kid is going to a different camp for a week and it checked the location and cost boxes; one of us will have to leave work early every day for pickup, but it is only for one week. Every family I know with working parents is doing this same thing. |
Yep, a lot of camps are 9-4. Some are 9-3. Those don’t work for our family because we need longer hours or available aftercare. So we found camps that have that. |
This isn't accurate. |
lol wtf are YOU prattling on about?! Your kids must be…hearty…! |
Plenty of camps are longer, or offer aftercare options. If you need the extended care, you should look for them. |
