What do you do with your hair at night to sleep?

I’m surprised so many people are bothered by the feel of their hair at night. If you are bothered by your hair at night, would you describe yourself as having other sensitivities also, like maybe to wool or socks with seams? I’m wondering if this is more a general sensitivity issue rather than just an issue of being annoyed by the feeling of one’s own hair.

I hate my hair in my face at night. I toss and turn all night from my back to my left side I have to adjust my hair its totally obnoxious and its not even that long. I feel like I'm wrestling with it If I leave it down.

A lot of these answers do sound like people with sensory issues.

Np. No sensory issues here. I just don’t like my hair across my face while I sleep and change positions. Honestly the bonnet makes it so easy. Im surprised everyone doesn’t use one.

This is my favorite bonnet. I make it as tight as I need it, cut the excess strap off and then put the strap back through the buckle again to lock it in. I don’t like the bonnets that I have to tie a bow in.

Yeah I don't want to sleep in a hat. I pull mine up at night in a loose bun.

Please drop the brands for these satin/silk bonnets. They don’t bother your hairline or leave a crease on your forehead?

Not pp but to me shoulder length is to end of the neck (start of shoulders), bra strap length is to middle of back - where the bra strap is.

This is helpful. And people making fun of someone saying bra strap length its because that's how websites describe it so PP said nothing wrong.

I am the bra strap length poster. It's common terminology in hair-care circles, so I didn't think anything of it! Now that pps pointed it out, I guess bra "strap" can be confusing.

But also, hating on my hip length hair is silly. It was gorgeous and thick and the type of hair people get extensions to mimic. More glamourous red carpet (and the effort to wash/dry/style!) than cat lady, but to each their own

They arent' that tight. But occasionally I get a forehead crease, but it's gone by the time I'm at work.

I use a bonnet too. Even when I straighten my hair I use it, it makes it way less greasy and easier to last 3 days without a wash.

During the day I twist it up and clip it, but I recently read something about how this rips your hair out so I stopped

I wish scrunchies were still more of a thing but I haven't seen them in an age

So? Wear them anyways

I have over 10 scrunchies in the house, they are always at Ulta and Target.

DP. I ordered the first bonnet that was recommended here and used it for two nights. I can safely say it won't work for me. I kept waking up to adjust it and my hair looked so greasy in the morning which is bizarre because I have very dry, curly hair. Oh, and my husband and I couldn't stop laughing at how absurd I looked, so that made it hard to sleep too.

Me either. Mine is halfway down my back. I put it up in a claw nearly every day. At night…. Nothing.

I should use a Bonnet since I have curly hair but unfortunately I don’t do anything. Not even a ponytail. Maybe that’s why I have so many split ends. I wanna try sleeping in rollers like the elderly. Maybe that helps protect against frizz friction and split ends

curly hair, just below shoulders. i "plop" with a cotton tshirt. this has been a gamechanger for me. my hair/curls are protected and i don't have to wash my hair as often.

i tried the bonnets, but i didn't like how they felt.

plus i have a cpap machine/headgear, so it gets all my hair out of the way while i sleep.

like this - but i do it when my hair is dry and i am getting ready for bed:
