It's not even worth discussing with you. You clearly aren't a serious person and have no idea what a narcoterrorist is. |
Sorry, what are you babbling about now? The ship has been sanctioned since Biden's administration. There has been no lawless action - quite the contrary, in fact. Glad this ship can no longer illegally transport oil to terrorists. Interesting that you're not. |
You don’t seem to understand anything, really. It’s just as embarrassing as this dumpster fire of an administration. It will be deeply satisfying when these murderers end up where they belong
|
DP What’s actually astonishing is your ability to suspend disbelief and believe literally anything our government tells us at this point. Like, “illegally transport oil to terrorists” … zero confidence in the ability of State to tell the truth, so why on earth would I believe them here? |
DP I’ve been worried about China and their cronies using Venezuela for years. Why? Because China has amassed a big foothold in the Caribbean, including land, buildings, businesses, and ports. They are directly across from Venezuela in the ABC islands, directly across from Florida in the Bahamas, and in several islands in between. It’s all fun and games when terror ground and the countries that bankroll them are far away in the Middle East, but it’s quite different when they are so close and have been shipping things for many years. Oil is one thing: a commodity that fuels terror groups. But it’s not far fetched to wonder what weapons have been shipped. Or people. |

People in the Caribbean have been predicting this sort of thing. This opinion piece from a Curaçao paper provides quick highlights of how China has acquired ports around the world. |
as usual , Democrats and progressives have no clue. somewhere there has to be a white US citizen to blame. |
Funny enough, these are the exact same thoughts China, Russia and the like have when we set up shop on their doorsteps and start funding "freedom" fighters. |
The people who fund them are billionaires in this country that don't have to register as paid foreign agents. |
Right. And for good reason. But it’s never bothered us since we have always been on top. ICYMI: we are slip-sliding down on the Chutes and Ladders game of world power/world protector, and I can’t for the life of me understand why anyone thought this would be a good idea. I mean, anyone who took a history class or watched a related movie should have some inkling about the fall of Rome. Short version: when they got fat, lazy, and greedy, they were dethroned. The hungry who are motivated to climb will undoubtedly have an edge. Why we let China establish a foothold in the Caribbean (not to mention all the real estate they’ve acquired in the actual USA) is beyond me. It’s impossible to put the genie back in the bottle. |
And that’s a big problem. |
So then you also think the Biden administration was also lying when they sanctioned this very same ship? Perhaps therapy is in order for you. |
So, just to recap: you and your fellow Democrats, who are clutching your pearls because the U.S. actually decided to ACT, are supporters of the Maduro regime. As if we didn’t already know that. Recent Nobel Prize winner, Maria Corina Machado has only praise for the actions of the Trump administration. OSLO—Venezuela’s Nobel Peace Prize laureate praised the U.S. seizure of an oil tanker off her country’s coast, saying it was necessary to choke the finances of the Maduro regime to aid the fight for democracy. Speaking in Oslo a day after she completed her daring escape from Venezuela, opposition leader María Corina Machado evaded reporters’ questions about possible U.S. military action against her country, but said President Trump had shown the regime, for the first time, that its actions wouldn’t go unpunished. The regime previously thought that they could do anything. They felt they had absolute impunity. They could torture. They could disappear. They could sexually assault young women,” Machado said on Thursday. “Now they start to understand that it’s serious and the world is really watching.” https://www.wsj.com/world/americas/venezuelan-nobel-laureate-praises-trump-pressure-on-maduro-c813500a?st=iQ7GrY |
Disagreeing with the legality or necessity of Trump’s actions does not automatically make someone a supporter of Maduro. What a stupid thing to conclude. |
Gosh, how stupid to take people at their word! One of you was saying they hope that Venezuela, Cuba, and Iran take out one of OUR ships. Trump's action here was completely legal and absolutely necessary. But because "Trump" did it (and not, say, Biden), you reflexively have to condemn his actions. I suggest you educate yourself. "President Trump is finally taking action beyond rhetorical threats to squeeze Venezuela’s Nicolás Maduro out of power. The U.S. seizure of an oil tanker off the Venezuelan coast hits the dictator in the pocketbook, which is why he is screaming so loudly. U.S. officials say the ship was flying under the flag of Guyana though it isn’t registered there. The U.S. Treasury previously sanctioned the ship for smuggling Iranian oil. There’s no doubt about the legality of the seizure, as it was executed with a warrant." https://www.wsj.com/opinion/venezuela-oil-tanker-seizure-nicolas-maduro-donald-trump-maria-corina-machado-ff8e77dd?st=RxhEw4&reflink=desktopwebshare_permalink |
