We are rapidly losing that status, which is why the neocons are going after everyone they can before they can’t anymore. They don’t plan to stick around and face the consequences of course… |
Neocons? Try Trump and maga. |
| Venezuela, Cuba and China need to get together and sink our aircraft carrier. That’s the kind of FAFO Trump needs to see. |
Get off your Playstation. |

Millions of illegals enter the country: Not a word out of Democrats except, “Welcome to the USA. Would you prefer a room closer to the swimming pool or golf course?”
Trump seizes one ship: “THE SKY IS FALLING!!” |
Still getting paid to push your propaganda I see. |
+1. They can’t even keep their propaganda straight. Apparently this tanker was transporting illegal oil, fentanyl, and hoardes of illegal immigrants too. It’s a wonder it even has room left for the crew! |
| This was a Dark-Fleet ship, not a Venezuelan tanker. |
+1 Venezuela has ZERO lawful claim here. None. |
They may. It would be problematic if the US seized the vessel while in Venezuelan territorial waters. But from a practical perspective, there isn't anything they would do in the best of times other than send a diplomatic note saying that such actions are "imprudent". |
That is false. Trump and republicans seizing a tanking is lawless. |
Trump would never go against Putin. The question that need to be asked is how is Trump profiting from the seizure? How is he make money off this. |

What if there is something far more sinister going on?
What if there is a legit security threat? China has been buying up land, businesses, and ports across the Caribbean—including in Aruba, Bonaire, and Curaçao which are a stone’s throw from Venezuela as well as in the Bahamas which is a stone’s throw from Florida. Plus elsewhere. We know that oil is a commodity used to bankroll terrorism and governments that are committed to destroying us: Iran, China, and Russia. Venezuela is a strategic partner for those countries, and odds are something was already happening and we needed to take action to deter further escalation (or worse). Just because this administration is taking action doesn’t necessarily mean it’s entirely wrong on not necessary. Literally every time I’ve vacationed in the Caribbean over the last 5-10 years, I’ve had multiple locals flag China’s race to establish a strategic foothold in the region…followed by, “why isn’t the US doing something?” And I’m a bleeding heart liberal. But I can easily think of scenarios where it makes sense for us to take bold action…after all, this is in our backyard. |
+1 The people who reflexively condemn anything Trump does are proving, as usual, to be idiots. This ship was ILLEGALLY evading detection while illicitly shipping oil within a network supporting foreign terrorist organizations. So much idiocy on this thread. |
Exactly what I was going to say. You’d think Democrats would be applauding the effort to disrupt the drug trade in the Americas… but no. They’re lamenting the fact that someone finally has the guts to do something. Just incredible. DP |
