I haven't "kept up" with them since but I remember them from OC and all men aren't evil but this one definitely seems like a sociopath. The problem is there's not a perfect woman/mom waiting in the wings to raise the kids either - she seems deeply emotionally damaged and unstable and incapable of making healthy choices (see: 3 kids designed to lock down her rich sociopath 2nd husband).

These kids are screwed either way. There's no hero in this fable.

Telling the school nurse to give your kid unprescribed ritalin when you are divorced and coparenting with a raging narcissist who hates your guts is just too stupid to be true. We don't have the whole story, clearly. Also, I think the CPS thing was dropped, and the custody issue was over the night in May when she was calling in to see her daughter, and Kortney called the cops on her. There is other footage of their custody exchanges where Jim is out of control, hostile, and downright terrifying, and puts the kids in the center of it all, so how is it surprising that Meghan had a breakdown? Hope she gets the kids back. Otherwise, her daughter gets raised by a psycho and his porn star 4th wife.

This entire story stinks to high heaven. And raging narcopath Jim's camp is clearly putting out the smear campaign against Meghan in the media. He's a horrible abuser with unlimited resources and connections in St. Louis. This reeks of collusion and pay for play, which unfortunately is a huge problem in family court. The general public (and most posters in this thread) is completely unaware about these matters. You just really do not know and will not ever know, unless you experience it first-hand or you are closely supporting a friend or family member going through it. Family court is the wealthy malignant narcissist's playground (and that includes all family court professionals, including GALs which have long been plagued by horribly corrupt and/or incompetent individuals). And YES, school officials/teachers/nurses can absolutely be manipulated.

A huge federal lawsuit was filed against state officials, family court judges, attorneys, GALs and other family court professionals in St. Louis family court a few months ago calling it an "organized criminal enterprise". Google it, it's all over the news media. The stories coming out of St. Louis family court are horrible and sadly are not unique.

With Jim's wealth and power, he can easily squash Meghan in the way he knows will be the most destructive - take the children from her. Straight out of the narcissist/sociopath's playbook.

As for the supervised visitation - looking into the details, Jim sold his house in St. Louis last year and bought a new property in Franklin, Tennessee, which makes no sense because St. Louis is where the kids & Meghan live. Apparently early this month his flying monkey current wife responded to a "fan's" question on instagram if they have now live in Tennessee and she said they live there "part-time for now". Huge red flag. Reports are that Jim immediately moved the kids to his Tennessee home after the temp custody switch, which, if true, is disgusting but not surprising. Also, the kids go to school in Missouri! He will absolutely make it as difficult as possible for Meghan to exercise the visitation from Missouri and therefore use that against her. She is not independently wealthy and she does work, so trying to make that whole thing work is huge financial and logistical hurdle.

If you don't understand how *any* of this could even be possible, consider yourself lucky that you haven't been in this situation.

Holy crap. Obviously I'm not an expert but I would think that in this situation, it would be regular supervised visits, leading to unsupervised visits, leading to some amount of custody back to Meghan. To me, this is wild.

A source tells PEOPLE that the former couple's daughter Aspen, 8, and twins Hart and Hayes, 7, will live full-time with Edmonds and his wife Kortnie in Tennessee. King will get to see the kids for a few weeks every summer. The deal was struck just before Edmonds and King were set to appear before a judge.

This deal was made after the CPS investigation and before the court hearing. Clearly there was a lot Meghan did not coming out in court. Sounds like things were a lot worse than what has been reported or surmised so far. Glad they settled it and seems like this is in the best interest of the kids.

For her to give up custody breaks my heart. Poor woman. Even if she is sort of vapid and shitty to lose your kids must rock you to your core. She comes from such a solid family. I’m stunned at this honestly. She will only see her kids a few weeks in the summer?? That’s bs. I feel for her. I’m wondering if she has either a drug or alcohol problem? She looked really unwell in some recent photos.

This sort of reminds me of how Hayden Panettiere signed over custody of her daughter to Wladimir Klitschko.

Jim posting all these photos of the kids being spoiled and happy with Kortnie after he won custody rubbed me the wrong way.
