Getting a kick out of a "ranked 30-70" thread being taken over by Emory v Wash U prestige debate.
Can't make this up. |
If you afford it, why not? Trump will be gone soon. Don't make 40 yeae decisions based on him. |
So if your kids cannot get into top 30 where exactly are you sending them to college that is worth the price? |
|
Whose eyes are you worried about?
How about you try to find a school that provides an excellent undergraduate education, in a setting that would allow your kid to thrive? |
Once Emory mom finds a thread, it’s all over. |
| Agree if can’t get into a top 30, Wake, BC, Tufts, and Tulane are not taking people to the promised land. |
lol at trash emory |

If you are comfortably full pay, it's all about fit. And BC and Wake in particular are very solid schools and their graduates tend to do very well.
If money is an issue - like it is for the 95 percent of Americans who think 100 grand a year for college is ridiculous - it becomes a different calculation. And it's hard to justify Tulane, BC, or Wake at $90,000 over UMD and UVA at $38,000. None of those private schools are worth going into debt over a couple of very good in-state options. |
Any private in the top 50 is fair game. |
| Emory games it by taking a huge percentage ED and then the whole community college thing. Just odd. |
