Your description of parents who choose to stay at home is rude. |
That exists in private schools too. |
| When does the st Mary’s directory come out? It’s only November. |
Public school is not used as an insult. It's a clarifying question about the background of someone who claims public schools are superior in education, while displaying a very poor grasp of basic grammar. Is that person a product of such a superior school or not? If you don't want your own background questioned, don't be such a pompous ass. |
Glad to see that you've added another insult to your repertoire. "Sycophant" was getting old. |
NP. You’re getting to be as annoying as the St Mary’s troll. The two of you are like bickering children. |
Sorry. Not the pompous ass poster. Just a private school parent (and former private school student) so tired of the smug attitude of some private school parents who think public school is so far beneath them. Would you now like to defend the PP who used mental illness as an insult? |
And you are right down there with them. |

What does pro-family even mean? I have kids in Catholic school, but I’ve never heard it described that way. Schools - Catholic, independent private, public - have a ton of half days and days off. Arlington Public Schools gives days off for almost every religious holiday now, and will even change the day a few weeks out. I also think it’s annoying and makes it hard for parents, but it’s not some knock against a Catholic schools.

Is unhinged a mental disorder? Should we just call the trolls sinners? |
How does their AP bio teacher teach evolution |
Well, since the Catholic Church believes in evolution, just like every other AP Bio teacher. I suspect you don’t know much about Catholicism, do you? Let me help you out: science and religion can coexist. The Big Bang theory, for example, was the brainchild of a Catholic priest. |
Not sure what your point is here. Catholics have no problem with evolution. |
+1 And while we’re at it, Catholics are pretty evenly split between Republicans and Democrats. Catholics, especially those in the DMV, are often quite liberal and believe in helping immigrants and the poor. |
The Catholic schools are run by lay people. They do a lot of things the same way and follow the same state requirements as public schools. Not sure what OP is actually looking for in a school but none are 9-5, 5 days a week. |
