there are state regulations on how many hours of instruction kids get. So your school has a bunch of half days- the public school may have just as many or a combined whole day off to equal a close amount. Whats your point? Teachers need days to grade and have training. This is just how school is. I remember having half days and days off in the 80s. Nothing new.
