| Every single college and University on this thread are excellent schools. The question isn't which is the best, because they are all fantastic, but which is the best fit for a particular student. And because some of them admit such a tiny portion of applicants, even that question becomes moot. |
| The right fit is important. However when the family is paying in excess of $90k a year you want a good job economic outcome. That’s why Holy Cross is very good placing kid in good jobs. Local State flagships don’t have the alumni network connections. HC and a few dozen others do. |
Exactly. This is why people are sick of BC being paraded on this forum by some fanatical alumni and parents. It’s not worth 400k |
| On the East coast HC is a powerhouse in the C suite of corporate America. |
| At wife’s NASDAG company the CFO is a Holy Cross grad. Nice guy wears a lot of purple. |
| It’s NASDAQ not NASDAG! The Vice Chairman of NASDAQ is a Holy Cross grad. Not to be outdone the President of CNBC is also a HC grad. Small school with powerful alumni. |
|
HC flies under the radar. Don’t need Williams or Amherst stats to get in but produces lots of wealthy grads.
|
| Two kids in our town are Holy Cross seniors and are extremely happy. Had summer internships and received full time offers. |
| Does HC offer merit aid? |
| Yes merit aid for classics majors, music and a few other. School plans on more with large capital campaign. |
| Holy Cross does have a top 10 classics department. |
| Would rank Holy Cross in the top 5 among LACs for C level corporate placement. |
For undergrad, it is a clear #1. |
True. And Worcester is a 2 - or is it 3? - hour drive from Downtown Boston. |
HC is not a "Boston" college. It is located in Worcester, a city located west of downtown Boston. |
