I'm tempted to stop reading the thread here. ![]() |
That’s how they’ll spin it. |
I don't think so. Did you see the text messages? DUI hire Hegseth called Europeans freeloaders. Vance was worried about damage to Saudi oil facilities and told them to wait a month and analyze the situation more and then caved. NSA adviser who is in charge of our national security doesn't even know how to text properly. The GOP is going to look ridiculous if they don't hold hearings on this after all the fuss they made over Hillary's email. This is 100x worse. Plus, I don't feel particularly safe with this cast of clowns in charge. |
+1 Does the person calling it a traitor newspaper not know how to read? https://www.nytimes.com/live/2025/03/24/us/trump-news#hegseth-classified-war-plans-group-chat |
Yes, it's the journalist's fault that the NSA adviser Waltz who was leaking info to him was too dumb to use Signal's chat function. Definitely the guy you want in charge of all our country's most sensitive info. They need to fire him. |
As proof that he was added to the group chat, for when he wrote an article about the monumental stupidity of our top national security folks? Why are focusing on this and not the monumental stupidity of the folks planning a bombing campaign? |
The Hill:
Fox News anchor John Roberts praised journalist Jeffery Goldberg hours after the The Atlantic’s top editor published a bombshell report revealing he had been accidentally sent secret war plans by top U.S. officials ahead of recent strikes in the Middle East. “I would think that there are probably worse people that you could text your secret plans to,” Roberts said on Fox on Monday afternoon. “But it appears Goldberg has acted responsibly here in writing this article.” r/askpolitics was where I first heard about this, someone asked conservatives to give their opinion and they all called for firing people. Fox 8 article has a survey on how concerned you are, 62% very concerned. |
This this this. The dems have just been letting things go and I’m not sure why. |
Are they actually covering it on their TV network? FoxNews website is not. |
Schumer has been too busy writing/hawking his book. He needs to be dumped for someone who can work full-time. |
He did not take screenshots of military information per se. Are you saying he should have kept the entire thing to himself? |
Still nothing on FoxNews website. Republicans breaking laws is not news to them. |
Sad that they would charge the journalist for receiving information he didn't ask for, but not NSA Waltz, DUI Hegseth or VP Vance for breaking a bunch of national security laws by planning a war on a commercial app. "But...but... her emails!!!" |
Not to be obvious. But the issue is not that they “inadvertently” added a journalist. The issue is that they were using Signal for highly classified information that put US military personnel at risk. |
