It’s just a proposal not a sure thing, no need to worry.

It’s not a proposal. It’s a thing for dumb people to repeat on social media so they think trump is going to give them money and like him.

This. And then when they realize it work out, they’ll try to blame someone else, lie to say they are working on it and never deliver. Or they’ll do it and blame the inevitable fallout on someone else.

The money will come in two weeks, with the new healthcare reform 😁

???

Did Mitt Romney enter the chat?

Concepts of checks.

Anyone who thinks this won't instantly win Republicans about 75% of the nation is smoking meth AND crack.

A tax-free $8,000 check?

Pfft. If Trump times it properly, Republicans will sweep the midterms and 2028.

Can they not do basic math?

$40,000,000 / 333,290,000 people does NOT = $8000 per person. That's not even $5000 per person, which is the new figure I'm seeing all over social media.

It's not even enough money divided out to buy a god damn US stamp.

We don’t have 333 million taxpayers in the country. A tax refund would only be given to taxpayers.

They are not writing any checks. This is a rumor.

This would increase the national debt another three trillion dollars!

Obviously. But the idea that an $8k check wouldn't move the needle is bonkers and out of touch.

Average Americans aren't working with inherited wealth, financial assistance from parents, high-paying private sector jobs, or pensions.

For $8k, an amendment granting Trump a third term would have a fighting chance.

And how many people exactly do you think understand how and when that might impact them personally?

They’re dumb enough to do this because we’re already going to be $25 trillion in debt in 10 years because of the felon’s tax cuts.

If I ever hear another conservative say they vote that way for the economy, I will have words. That narrative is dead in the water.

Then "Average Americans" deserve exactly what they will get with Trump, no sympathy or help from the "libs".

Yeah, I’d hold out for more than $8k to lose all my rights. But that’s me.

Move the needle on what? Midterms are two years away and I think you are out of touch regarding American voter attention span. The average Americans you are talking about will buy their $8k ATV, pickup truck lift, or night out in Vegas and will never again think about it. Unless Trump is going to give universal basic income, one check isn't going to work.

Which libs are these? Are you under the impression the majority of Democrat voters are rich and couldn't use $8k?
