Not even rivals with Boston, let alone NYC.

If that’s the lie you need to tell yourself [shrug]. You can argue with Niche which ranks Sidwell #11 among the “Best Private K-12 Schools in America.” That rank places Sidwell above elite NYC privates like Dalton, Spence, and Ethical Culture.

Niche?

Where is your DC private ranked? …
Yeah, that’s what I thought.

Are you really doubling down on Niche? No one can take you seriously if that’s your source.

I’m doubling down on the fact that Sidwell is one of the best private schools in this country (and definitely DC). Niche is one more data point than you have to refute my point. All you have is your meaningless opinion.

Niche rankings are not meaningful data. Surely you don’t need to rely on Niche to make your point.

These Sidwell parents are relentless. God I am so glad we dodged that bullet and chose another school.

#32 if you factor in high schools, which should be done considering we are discussing college matriculations. Nice job cherry picking your data.

Oh, now you want to focus on college matriculations:

#29 (out of almost 5,000) private COLLEGE PREP high schools in the United States. “Nice job cherry picking YOUR data.”

https://www.niche.com/k12/search/college-prep-private-high-schools/

LOL you sound desperate. All high schools have kids who graduate and go to college. Maybe some didn't check the box for "college prep" schools, but bottom line there is a big difference in ranking when you include high schools in the mix.

You sound jealous. It’s clear that whatever high school you send your children to doesn’t rank anywhere close to #29 out of nearly 5,000 high schools (firmly within the top 1%).

Why is it always the Sidwell parents??

LOL my kid has already graduated from HS and is enrolled in his first choice school, which is a T20. He even got into an ivy and turned it down. No jealousy at all, especially toward a the Sidwell community, which continuously proves itself to be easily triggered and petty. My kid attended a school much lower on the Niche list and did just fine.

Not even associated with GDS but this is just an embarrassing attempt. Please stop.

This thread is filled with the type of parents that a principal I used to know would regularly refer to as “low class and common.”

Because we’re the best. As a result, non-Sidwell parents constantly have Sidwell’s name in their mouths (“but even Sidwell does that…”). Most Sidwell’ parents don’t respond, and they keep scrolling. However, we’re not a monolith, and some us (depending on our mood) will make time to respond to the haters.

If you want to hear from Sidwell parents less, stop invoking the school’s name in every other private school post. If the topic is [X private school], focus on [X private school], or name other random private schools that aren’t Sidwell.

Problem solved.

Hey Sidwell booster - not everyone wants to be part of your sad and lonely community. Most Sidwell kids are miserable and can’t wait to leave.

That’s what some people at lesser schools need tell themselves. None of the Sidwell kids I know would want to attend your children’s schools.

So sad and miserable. I guess that’s why I know so many Sidwell alums who send their children to the school. 🙄

What is funny about this post? You think people who don't attend Sidwell can't get into top 20 colleges? Very warped worldview you have there.
