EA just announced that they are accepting more clubs into EA and EA2…..
What is happening? So will the new tier system be MLSN I MLSN II EA I/NAL I EA II/NAL II |
|
It seems that NAL continues to coexist with MLS Next 2, since NAL is accepting applications for 2025-26 season.

Cincinnati cup registration has opened.
You can tryout for their MLSN 1 or 2 teams. |
| NAL will become MLS Next II |
Except the fact this thread started regarding the announcement from MLS Next that says otherwise |
| is it better to try your chances in a MLSN 2 team or ECNL? what do you think? which can provide better development? |
both neither |
I agree to try out for both. Which is better for your child’s development is not a straightforward answer. It’s going to depend on the type of training and coaching, whether your child gets enough playing time, and how you assess that depends on what your child’s goals are. |

In mid Atlantic it will be:
MLS Next MLS Next tier 2 NAL |
Bwahahaha - thanks Bot. |

There are a large number of clubs with no ENCL or MLSN today - who would probably love to be able to slap MLS on their websites. I'm super curious what clubs in my area (NC) will adopt this.
Assuming the clubs already with MLSN will add a MLSN2 team (rebranded) then they could even, *gasp*, put together a local league that requires limited travel! |
