I hit a nerve with a so-called adult...I love it! You made my day son |
You are not going to make a second ECNL team with mediocre to poor ECRL teams |
From the strikers source - yes |
Isn't it weird that Strikers posted nothing? |
Not sure if this qualifies as big news. If I was a parent of a player on the new North team, I would have really consider the benefit of all this additional driving. |

In previous years,
When a club announces a big announcement, it’s a league change…just saying |
| Looks like Kickers is hinting at news tomorrow at 11am. Maybe they are updating their crest? |

Wild unsubstantiated conspiracy theory with no validation whatsoever, but fun...
All youth soccer in Richmond is merged from Kickers, Strikers and FC Richmond (From Rec to Top Level) under Richmond United platform with a clear pyramid to their USL1 mens side and USLW side for women (which they hope to move to USL Super League in next 3 years). And, on top of that, they move Boys to MLS Next Platform and in seismic shift despite the HQ of ECNL being in Richmond, the girls join GA! |
It appears that the boys side is really excited about this. |
MLSN part makes sense given how they're touting this as changing soccer in VA, except for the fact that all of the away games (MA and SE) would be so far away. Like, 2.5 hours every other weekend seems like a lot. It's such a long season with so many games - but I can see how this would be appealing and they could certainly be very competitive in the MA. |
Why can't Strikers and Kickers have ECNL + RL teams, while United MLSN?
|
Yup and my bet is they get to keep girls ECNL.. |
i think it's a real possibility. |
