Why are you doing this? The meet ended at 8:20 on Sunday night. Does your child not know their times? What will this help? This behavior seems obnoxious, self-important and insufferable.

NP - I agree this is obnoxious but I understand the impatience. Parents and swimmers can’t rely on meet mobile at this meet. So if that’s the only time they have and it was close to a cut, they probably want to verify.

Parents should never rely on Meet Mobile to verify times. The times will be published when they’re published and those will be official. This meet was many sessions over 3 days. Let’s all give some grace here.

Modern technology offers us the opportunity to make information accessible to everyone involved, regardless of their location. We kindly request that the host club also posts results electronically to the clubs, the PVS site, and platforms like SwimCloud in parallel. Leveraging technology in this way not only enhances the experience for everyone but also promotes efficiency and accuracy. Moreover, moving to electronic postings helps reduce paper waste, making it a more environmentally friendly option. Please consider cascading the official results electronically to benefit all stakeholders involved.

Expect results being posted was sporadic at best for the 12 and under session. By Sun, they stopped even posting the 12 and under prelim results

This just isn’t true. My 10 yr old swam 1 relay and 3 events at prelims on Sunday and results came through meet mobile pretty quickly. One event he swam, I got up from stands to go to lobby for fresh air and before I even got to the door to leave the results had already come through.

the results were posted on the wall as soon as they came off the results computer- literally there was a runner standing by, she took a copy to the announcer, to the scratch table, and posted one on the wall between the main pool and the warm down pool. Saturday there was an extra runner, they printed an extra copy of the results, and that runner took them upstairs to post them on the upstairs wall outside the spectator area. Sunday, shortage of runners- thus no results for parents.
I seriously don't understand why parents don't volunteer especially to be the runner- you get a fabulous view of the races, you feel useful, etc. Or you can pay $5, squish into the stands and complain. You do you I guess.
For those of you who are in the stands completely focused on your kid- the vast majority of the time, you know your kids time- it flashed up on the scoreboard. The scoreboard time is the pad time- sometimes the pad time isn't correct, eg the kid hit the pad late or missed the pad- but most of the time kids hit the pads.

Also- parking was free- if the first lot was filled, you could park in the second lot- I am mixing up which is A and C- but that is the parking lot for eagle bank arena and it is huge, there is no way it was filled- if you paid to park in a garage- once again- you do you....

Actually I think theft clubs that host these meets make a lot of money- the splash and facilities fees cover the rentals. My swimmer has Graduated but when we went to winter classic we didn’t pay a spectator fee, but we had to pay a meet program.

You can pull up the financials and you will see that Bill and Barry are doing VERY well. They love their jobs, but they are also raking it by hosting all the meets they do (invitationals and IMX, etc). They also make more money internally with team training trips. They sell a lot of merch to families, etc. Hopefully they share some of that balance statement by paying their coaches well, that I do not know.

I'm a Marlins parent - I can see my child's results only in my account under Best Times. I can't see the full results.

I understand the frustrations here but I am confused as to how people said they or their swimmers didn't know their times. I was volunteering at the meet and knew my kid's events and heats so I just looked at the board after he swam to get his time. He also knew his times and so did his coaches. I find it hard to believe people were as in the dark as they claim.

I know for a fact that many meets this fall have had timing/data related issues. At one meet apparently touch pads kept falling off the wall at the St James. It's not easy running and managing a meet. Stuff happens. The lack of grace displayed at times here is discouraging.
