Rich kid schools?

How we have missed you, Bucknell/The Street ( ) poster!

Colby
SMU
University of Richmond
Miami
Middlebury
Williams
Sweetbriar
Hampden Sydney
In the past, Vandy, but the academics have improved and it’s a harder admit now.

Did you just lump in Williams and Middlebury with Sweetbriar and U of Richmond? Not even the same universe.

Richmond is a lot closer to Middlebury than Sweet Briar is to Richmond, Jesus Christ.

This is a bit, right? This is wild even for this board.

^^ Listen up. This lady has a Hampden-Sydney boy gunning for a Putnam. Many such cases.

Midd and Williams with Sweetbriar and Hampden? Huh?

Is this the Bucknell troll or someone that is applying ED to Midd or Williams trying to dissuade others. 😑

I work on Wall Street and have literally never heard of anyone who went to Bucknell. Never. If that's your goal and you want a small college, then try Williams, Colgate, maybe Barnard (with Baruch being the real secret door).

What do you mean by “Baruch” being the secret door?

Seeking an MRS degree will do that.

No one has sought a "MRS degree" since 1962.

+1. No one even jokes about it anymore ... it's an obsolete term
Now called “Trad Wife” goal. Trad girlfriends too..

I am on the Harvard and MIT campuses for a weeklong conference once a year for 30 years). They’ve changed so much. Harvard seems decidedly not rich (it used to). MIT feels pre-rich (it used to feel pre-pro).

My ex’s wife did. They call it a masters of fine arts.

Pretty much every school in the top 50 has been named in this thread.

It's part of CUNY, and is insanely inexpensive, even OOS. But its business students do exceedingly well on Wall Street, in part because of the ability to do internships during the school year, and in part because its students aren't privileged doucfbags like the Princeton or Wiliiams crowd.

I work in finance. And live here in battery park. Pace is the other school that’s over
represented.

Why does this matter?
Schools are full of all sorts of kids.

Alabama. The amount of money there is mind blowing — Porsches, range rovers, carrying Goyard bags to class, etc. These aren’t the smart (scholarship) kids, but the ones that will go into the family business and don’t really need good grades. But there’s a lot of them.
