So you are saying that players and parents get fed up with Madlax and leave. Got it. |
What club team consolidated for the 27's? |
This move to NL is all about recruiting. If you talk to parents from the 3 main clubs, the organization and guidance that NL provides is head and shoulders above the others. It’s not even close. The parents of ML players know this. The college coaches don’t want to deal with Cabel. And DCE barely communicates with their boys. Some of their players haven’t even heard from the coaches. NL is better from a recruiting standpoint. And when you get into HS, everything is about recruiting. Pretty simple. |
You are the best Dave! |
Yes Dave tell us more!!
I am sure there is some truth to coaches not wanting to deal with Cabell though that wouldn’t stop them if they wanted a player. Said player and family would have to deal with him though and that’s another story. That is 1000% not true about DCE. They have someone whose entire job is recruiting director - in addition to the coaches. |
Cabell is the worst! |
Original poster here. You are all on your own. This thread has become really strange with all the “by way”. Peace out! |

I have nothing but positive things to say about DCE and recruiting. I have a son who ended up at one of the blue bloods and he was not a highly ranked recruit but got better every year and as an on-age player player hit puberty sophomore/junior year. The coaches at DCE went to bat for him and he has played in every college game so far. Club coaches can only do so much….. |
There you are. Still focused on winning tournaments. |
Good post. I have gone through the process. Any advocate you have whether it is club coach, high school coach, etc. can only do so much. D1 Coaches need to have eyes on your son playing the summer before junior year. Period. The three things that matter above all else. 1 can your kid play. 2. is your kid healthy that summer. 3. Does your kid have a 3.5 or better gpa. |
