Why was Michael Jackson not completely cancelled?

I find the Woody Allen thing conflicting. Most of the negativity around him comes from Mia. Mia had plenty of her own problems. Several of her adopted kids are dead, several have accused her of abuse, and not all the kids support Dylan and her accusations against Allen. What is the truth? Nobody knows.

Well we do know he married his adopted daughter, so, that's enough for me.

He didn’t adopt her. She has another dad.

He met her when she was 9 and "rasied" her to be his wife. The Marquis deSade wrote a book about it. I'm sure Woody read it and made it happen for himself. He's a sick dude. His daughter/wife is also not so bright and I personally think it's another sin to take advantage of a not-bright person.

Exactly. It's the most horrific form of grooming, preying on a child who depends on you.

Same.

His music and legacy? Obviously?

What a peculiar and weird behavioral response. Maybe see a mental health professional about that character defect.

PP may be a very sympathetic person and feels sick when they hear the voice of someone who may have committed atrocities against children. Why ridicule them for it?

I just read the old Vulture article interviewing her. I actually have a new appreciation for their marriage (acceptance is maybe a better word?) and she herself sounds like a fascinating person.

Not exactly and she herself despises Mia for painting her out as slow and dumb. It sounds like she maybe has dyslexia but she doesn’t come across as “not so bright”. Why would Mia even put that out there? That’s not ok. Also it also sounds like you have never read or heard anything Soon Yi herself has to say on the matter. You should read more.

Michael had plenty of mental health issues especially body dysmorphia but I tend to believe he was more asexual than pedophilic.
His supposed bio kids were not his. He didn’t sleep with Debbie.

I think he mentally thought he was still a kid and didn’t have sexual desire for either women, men, or kids.
I think this too and I think it was something his parents did to have him keep his young voice.

I think so too. It has not been proven that he was a pedophile.

He was very open about sleeping in the same bed with children he was not related to as an adult. Where else can this lead and the parents that allowed it should be ashamed of themselves.

What parent would be ok with this? I don’t care if he thinks he’s a child himself or Peter Pan or liked sleeping with his brothers. You couldn’t pay me to let a kid have a sleep over with such a man. If you’re saying you don’t think he was a pedophile but also wouldn’t let your kid have such a sleepover then it’s because deep down you know something wasn’t right.

Thinking the behavior is weird and inappropriate is not the same thing as thinking he’s a pedophile. I wouldn’t allow this even if I 100% trusted this one person’s completely innocent intentions because I wouldn’t want my kids to think it’s normal to sleep in a bed with a grown man. Because MOST grown men who would do this DO NOT have innocent intentions.

Mmmm it’s pretty close. No men should do this for obvious reasons unless they are the father. Even grandfathers are a hard no.

+1 million

I don’t think he was a pedophile. I also think he shared a bed with the kids because he recognized (from his own childhood) something lonely and unloved in them and thought he was being a good friend (like being a comforting presence basically). Agree that he was mentally a child and therefore it never occurred to him that what he was doing was inappropriate or that the vast majority of people would see it as such.

While he may not of thought that way I can’t see his manger/label or father not saying something to him. Like you can’t be a bad boy or try to be a sex symbol and hang out with kids like this. People will question you and you’re opening yourself up to lawsuits.

But he never tried to be a sex symbol or bad boy? You see this more as his music goes on. If anything he tried to reject those boxes.

He still lived at home with his mother after Thriller. He was 26 years old. He could’ve lived alone but he said he hated being alone and liked being around his family. I think Janet, the youngest sibling, even moved out before he did.

Celebrities said they were shocked to see MJ who sang about being bad and Billie Jean lived at home and went to bed early after every concert instead of engaging with groupies.

Because he wasn’t into them. They weren’t his type.

Or past trauma causes this reaction.

I’m curious to know why he didn’t marry and have kids in the 80s like his mother said instead of going through the self mutilation and then IVF with donor sperm. He spent millions on an amusement park home just to relive childhood as a 30 something male instead of just having bio kids?
Apparently, he was inviting the court reporters and courthouse fans to Neverland during the actual 2005 trial. He still didn’t learn a thing. Neverland drained him of so much money. The upkeep and maintenance was ridiculous and yet he still didn’t want to sell it.

What causes someone to be that entrenched with their thinking? Certainly, he knew business because he did buy the Beatles/Sony catalog for a steal. I think he gave Little Richard and other black artists their publishing back for free. He knew how to make good business moves so I don’t understand why Neverland was such a hill to die on for him.

WTF are you talking about? Father Figure is not creepy and George Michael was not a pedo.
