This was when tiers and prairie dresses were big. Looks like it would be cool on a warm afternoon.

I love Carol Middleton's shoes. That is a perfect shoe.

Was this for Wimbledon? I love the dress, am not excited about the shoes though. Too dressy for Wimbledon, IMO. She's not royalty.

Florals and pastels are great but sometimes you like to see a bold yellow.

A bunch of coat dresses in thick fabrics at awkward mid calf length--yawn.

Have to agree with about the coat dresses in jewel tones on repeat. Other European royal women show a lot more personality.

Those are both Thai silk, one in a weave of two colors that shows differently as the light changes. You can buy Thai silk for about $10 a yard at any fabric store, as I did for my bridesmaid’s dresses to have them made up by a tailor.

Princess Anne may be my favorite royal these days, but even I can admit she’s not exactly blazing new “iridescent” ground here.

You could easily dress like Kate. There’s a formula: high waistband to make her legs look longer and an A-line skirt that goes below the knees. High heels for height and again to lengthen the legs. Solid colors, rarely a pattern.

Have good tailors who ensure everything is lined and the hems are weighted. Buttons in self-fabric.

Disagree that her figure is perfection. I’m referring to her extreme thinness, don’t care about the long waist.

That's true but it's almost like the Dallas Cheerleaders, right? You get a look and it becomes your brand and you can't change it. Princess Beatrice seems to be "Pink". I do think Kate has shown variation so I don't know what I would peg her besides "Proper".

If I were BRF I would make sure that my brand had some sort of comfort built in early, a la Ivana and her tracksuits, but I'm afraid I would not be very popular with the designers!
