it is 5/8 now
it means 5/7 was yesterday |
Are you sure🥲? |
No, it’s a completely separate process. Last year, our school sent notification of local level II/III service and a few days later we received level IV acceptance from appeal. |
I agree with that in general but if the school sent out their local level II/III notification to you AFTER they found out whether your child made it into level IV, then it’s not a good sign. This whole process is terrible. |
Does the school definitely find out before families do? Not arguing just genuinely ignorant 😂 |
Just received the email. DC is in. |
Yup. Ours had already told a few families who directly asked. |
The email notification was sent at 7:00 am on 6/8. |
I got an email right at 7 am. My child is in. |
Just got our rejection. I’m the PP who got the Level II email yesterday so this makes sense 😔 |
Got the email at 7am as well. |
Can you share info about what you did to get in? My kid got rejected after very high scores on everything! What grade is your child in? Thanks. |

Daughter is in!! I'm delighted since our local school only qualified her for Level II (mediocre GBRS, I don't think they know how to handle her).
Does anyone know if kids can still be placed in Level IV if they are transferring schools? She was slated to attend a magnet school next year. We weren't sure what the appeal outcome would be and just needed her out of her local school. School A: Our local school, which does not have Level IV. School B: Center Level IV AAP school School C: Magnet school, which is also a Level IV AAP center school (but our local school doesn't feed into it). The portal only shows options to attend school A or B, accept level III, or decline services. |
I am disappointed that my child who was no less than 98th percentile in everything was not accepted. I’m trying hard to understand why. It was a solid application. |
