AAP Appeals Questions Thread

Sorry if this already exists, but I didn't see one. Figured a general thread for appeal questions would be good.

I'll go first - the website says appeal notifications are "by June 7." Does anyone know if decisions are rolling, or if the committee meets again and issues them all at once? TIA!

no, not rolling. all Appeal decisions came out on one day last year.

A fairly minor question -- but does anyone know if we get any sort of email confirmation that the mailed appeals packet was received? (I had tracking on the package, so I know it was received at the FCPS office, but just wanted to know for sure via some sort of email notification).

Yes you get a confirmation that also tells you when the results will be emailed.

I mailed my packet on Saturday 5/4 and never received a confirmation it was received. For those of us who mailed it later but still before the due date, they still send out confirmation emails once packets are received and processed? I sent it certified mail (but of course now can’t find the tracking number).

Last year I received confirmation of receipt from the AAP office a week after they received my appeal.

I sent mine on May 10th. The website said "postmarked by May 10th". What are the chances it will be accepted or rejected?

Of course it will be accepted. It’s postmarked 5/10

I heard some people received a confirmation email today (that the packet was received). Is anyone still waiting to receive that email?

Our package was delivered on Monday (5/13)

I called the AAP office today (1 week post due date) to ask for confirmation if the appeal was received. The gentleman who answered was able to look up my DD and confirm receipt and tell me that a confirmation email was planned to be sent (received later in the day.)

19:14 here. I just realized that my confirmation email did actually arrive today at 1 PM but it went to my spam folder. Title of the email is "AAP Level IV Appeal information".

I mailed our appeal on 5/10, tracking says it was delivered 5/13. No email from them confirming receipt in inbox or spam. Hopefully it comes on Monday.

I sent mine on 5/10 and have not received any sort of confirmation.
