Honestly, it's for Trump. It's like the Kristi Norm thing - and honestly, I'm from South Dakota and met Norm when she was a congresswoman in 2015 - she looked completely normal, professional. Now I can't recognize her. She has completely transformed her look in the same vein as this Trump woman. She's getting Trump's attention too now, so it works.

Classy and professional doesn't get you anywhere with Trump. It's not just about the fashion or look- it's the attitude. Even the weird unethical infomercials are strategic in that they make it obvious she can be bought and perform as Trump wants.

But where’s the line between “for Trump” and “for Republican voters” who obviously like the same thing? And she IS a Republican voter and a trumper so maybe she just wants to be this version of herself because she likes it? It’s a bridge too far for me. It’s just to squishy to be a news story. Do a story on how all the women kind of dress and look the same, but you can’t make assumptions about why one woman made herself over.

This was discussed in the Political forum because of her crazy politics and the Texas connection and simping for free dental care.

But from the purely fashion perspective, yes, there are ladies who age of all political persuasions and they want to look more "polished". So many threads on here for just us norms that say teeth are important for looking polished. The biggest difference is that it truly seems to be a republican thing or a housewife thing to want to add hair hair hair and length. DCUM agrees that aging hair is best kept age appropriate. We loved Ivanka's bob! So I think it's fair game when a woman wants to change her hair *in that way* that we all know is Trumpy/housewifey vs. just changing her hair. Y'know?

This is beyond Noem, but also Noem - the problem is that no one just sort of keeps their teeth looking nice. They make them BLINDING WHITE. With HUGE VENEERS. It's the same with the injectibles and stuff - it's not just, hey let's just smooth and fill a little. It's LET'S TURN MY FACE INTO A MASK THAT ONLY VAGUELY RESEMBLES A HUMAN BEING. The boobs, too! Not just, hey let's get a little bit of fullness - but LET ME HAVE TWO BOWLING BALLS STRAPPED TO MY CHEST AND THEN DISPLAY THEM ALL THE TIME FOREVER MORE.

And obviously with Noem being a sitting governor, her shilling for a Texas cosmetic dental biz is super weird - even weirder than what she's done to herself physically. She was a good looking person, who was also within the real of looking pretty normal. Now she looks like she's been replaced by a wax figure. Maybe all these people ARE being replaced by wax figures and we're just too busy judging what we think they've done to themselves to really notice!
