So Kristi Noem, while not technically Trump, apparently got her teeth done in a very public way and the NYTimes has run a piece saying she’s making herself into a Trump woman - long curled hair, thick makeup, tight dresses and I guess teeth.

I gotta say, the piece really gave me the ick about the NYTimes. I get that there’s something there as far as Trump’s comments on women and how all of the women he employs kind of look the same, but I hate framing it about one woman who happens to have changed her hair over the years. They provide zero quotes from her or about her saying yes, she’s doing it for Trump. So on the one hand it seems obvious and arguably newsworthy but on the other hand, for me as far as Kristi Noem they really didn’t “have the story” as it were.

I almost love the dress. She looks good in a shirt dress, it's flattering and age appropriate without being mumsy. And I love a big graphic floral. But I had to look really hard at this picture to see that's what it was. It almost look like she had a grey scarf that the wind was blowing away. Maybe it's just a big picture. But I feel like the graphic is a little off.

I agree she looks happy -- every time i see her in her florida life she looks so much happier and more relaxed than she did in the First Lady role. She really hated being First Lady, and she was just not good at it. Most politicians marry politicians' wives who have a certain knack for it, even if they have different approaches (Michelle O versus Laura B versus Mama Bush versus Betty Ford). Melania clearly would never have picked political wife as her #goal. There's lots of reasons I hope he loses, but one is so we don't have to present that we don't know how much she hates the job, and she doesn't have to pretend that she doesn't know that we know how much she hates the job, etc. It's awkward for both of us.

Tiff looks great here. She's defiantly got a "heart condition" or "diabetes".

I keep writing this but Kimberly could still look really, really good with really minor changes (hair, makeup, wardrobe) and more subtlety from her plastic surgeon/derm.

Even getting rid of the fake eyelashes would be a major improvement for her.

And the smoky eye. Hate it.

This was discussed in the Political forum because of her crazy politics and the Texas connection and simping for free dental care.

But from the purely fashion perspective, yes, there are ladies who age of all political persuasions and they want to look more "polished". So many threads on here for just us norms that say teeth are important for looking polished. The biggest difference is that it truly seems to be a republican thing or a housewife thing to want to add hair hair hair and length. DCUM agrees that aging hair is best kept age appropriate. We loved Ivanka's bob! So I think it's fair game when a woman wants to change her hair *in that way* that we all know is Trumpy/housewifey vs. just changing her hair. Y'know?
