What in the McMansion Hell is this. . .

Apparently they do!

At least according to the photos from 2012, lol.

You're right.
If you look at the photos from 2012, all of the grout is sparkling white.

These owners must've had filthy feet.

Throw some lions out front and this would sell in under a week in NJ, you see these everywhere.

The only possible advantage of this house is it appears they are in some kind of planned development, vs some person trying to build the largest, loudest house on the smallest plot of land possible.

Yeah, but sandwiched in between River Rd & 495 is never a plus.

That neighborhood is for those who want Potomac but can’t afford Potomac so will settle for houses on top of each other but still grandiose and new money feel.

No idea why these folks don’t go get a tear down in Bethesda or Chevy Chase… (it may be because this is zones for a W and not BCC)

Yeah, it's zoned for Whitman, but good lord you're so smushed between neighbors.
I don't understand why the realtor chose the photos displaying how close the homes are? Aren't you supposed to be creative with looking as if they're not, lol?

I don't want to get into a whole "which school is better" because my kids all went to Whitman... but I have to say that ALL of the schools in the Bethesda/Potomac/Chevy Chase W's (Whitman, Walter Johnson, Winston Churchill, as well as BCC) are all great schools!

They're very comparable, and speaking as someone who grew up going to a public school in NY, any kid would be lucky to be educated at ANY of them.

I honestly think it's insane to have these debates about which is better.

Looks like they’ve been reducing it monthly. Looks like they’re about due. Bets on how long it takes them to drop this below what they paid ($1.73)?

Legit de facto attached condos.

Strivers are totally obsessed with hierarchy; even perceived status and hierarchy which only exists in their mind.

Exactly... thank you!
I don't get competitive people. I've never understood them.
To debate the merits of one school while simultaneously putting down another one is bonkers!

There's always gonna be a trade-off,, this one has more drugs, this one has more bullying, this one is a powder keg because the kids are under too much pressure, etc.

It's the same in all of them, not one is all good, while all others are bad.

That could be in SoCal.

LOL this popped up as a new listing in my daily Redfin email. Sticking firm at 1.8 it looks like with some new pictures. Not sure that’s going to help….

How did they hide the 500k in price drops in the sales history?

Apparently by pulling the listing and reposting the next day at the same price. Didn’t realize you could do that and pretty shady….

And today it looks like they listed it for rent — $8,000 per month. That actually doesn’t seem unreasonable…
