It's funny because this thread only exists because a W booster was throwing shade on Blair. If you aren't seeing it, then you aren't reading.

LOL. How long have you been posting on DCUM? W parents have dominated this forum for a long time, calling every other schools ganglandia, tugs, drugs infested, child endangerment, etc... They had it the most for the DCC and especially Blair. They hated (envious) Blair with a passion.
Lately, more DCC parents have been active on the site and are hitting back .
If y'all cannot take the heat, stay out of the kitchen.

There's a poster on here that repeatedly claims that there is Blair envy; and many people find it very boastful and ridiculous, so it ignites the back and fourth.

I was skeptical at first, too, but Blair's envy is real.

We are in the Churchill zone but had one child at Blair who recently graduated. Blair is a great school and our family loves it a lot more than Churchill but there's no such thing as Blair envy.
It's something insecure parents have made up to make themselves feel better. We've noticed DCC parents spend a lot of time thinking about and putting down the W schools. They compare stats like college admissions and test scores and celebrate when their area seems to do better by some measure. But no one we know at the Ws thinks about the DCC, much less Blair, other than the magnet, at all. It's a weird made up competition by one side only.

I’m not100% sure it’s envy, per se, but coming to the realization that they paid a premium to get in a “good” school zone, when in fact they could have paid much much less in the Blair zone and gotten the same exact education. They HAVE to cut down Blair to make their choices/investment worthwhile. Otherwise what separates them from those slackers in the DCC?

I know this is a random comment but I happen to work across from the high school. When I’m walking to lunch or running a quick errand the kids are walking home or around the area and always seem very respectful and going about their business with friends. It’s not rowdy or dangerous or anything. Just an observation from an outsider.

+1 I live near a different DCC school and all the high school kids I've encountered have been very polite.
