There is no focus on hating. |
More than a few Catholics have enthusiastically jumped on that bandwagon. Don't let them slide. |
|
Let me explain Catholic culture in this area in a nutshell:
You can respectfully disagree with Church teachings in your personal life as much as you want and it’s very unlikely anyone will bother you over that. But don’t rock the boat in the school community. If you are ok with that, no problem. If you aren’t, please choose a different school and leave us alone (and we’ll be happy to extend the same courtesy and not interfere with how some other private institutions run their schools either). |
Marriage is not only between a man and a woman. So no. |
Yet we don’t tell heterosexual teens who have premarital sex to avoid Catholic schools. |
Let me explain Catholic culture in a nut shell. When real Catholics meet this person at our Catholic school we pray for them because their thoughts, words and deeds are sending them straight to he!! |
Shame on that handful. Anyway, our Catholic school has a section of the library dedicated to encouraging them to read "banned" books and a link on the library web site to the Banned Books Week materials and free access to the books. |
+1. The other thing to keep in mind is that many Catholic HS in the DMV are safe havens for public MS families that could no longer stomach the trans indoctrination found in DCPS/MCPS. They’ve seen the lifespan of this issue when what started as tolerance during ES morphed into forced celebration in MS. They won’t get fooled again. |
As Inigo Montoya would say, "You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means." |
What does it mean, then? Do enlighten us. I bet you are full of s%*#. It means exactly what we think it means. |
| As a Catholic I’ve always tried to love my neighbor, and I certainly love, respect, and accept my LBGT friends and family. What has been surprising to me is to see the increasing hatred and intolerance of Catholics from secular liberals in the name of their progressive values. I don’t expect everyone to embrace my religion but if you’re preaching tolerance of all people and lifestyles that should include religious people too. |
+1 million |
Homosexual activities like going to club meetings, and bringing a date to prom are not adultery. Adultery is not happening at high schools. The Catholic high schools have many teachers and parents who are married outside the church. Kids are taught to respect those people, and can be taught to respect people who are in same sex relationships as well. |
You're the one who introduced the word to this thread, not me. |
But you’re accusing us of not knowing what it means. Like I said, you are full of crap. |
