and I think it’s a big plus tbh. |
That doesn't mean she is in the business of brining in siblings who are not good... Younger siblings often look up to their older ones and are excited to follow in their footsteps (shocker!). It is only possible if they have talent or the coach sees potential upside given the limited spots. Coaches love commitments that are especially likely to stick but they ultimately need really good players! Older siblings are also a good way to get an inside track on more talented younger siblings too. |
Not sure what the point of this post is? The Yale commit was ranked #27 player in the class, and #2 defender. Smart move by coach and player to get this done. |
Not to mention that the family is already vetted! Huge deal to some programs to not have crazy parents! |
| The next M&D commits this one the #2 player in the country to Clemson. |
Clemson already got the #2 goalie in this class. Look out for Clemson. |
These girls going to Clemson are not making a good decision. The coach has a bad reputation and it’s not a very good school. They are top players who could be going anywhere. It’s sad. |
+1000 wait til the next best thing comes along and they pull whatever money they are offering to give to the next big recruit so they can blast it out on IG |
| I understand that Clemson has been using NIL money to attract recruits. Are other schools doing that now as well for WLAX? |
What does using NIL money actually mean? Are they able to offer money above and beyond athletic and merit scholarships? Where does the money come from? |
| NIL= Name Image Likeness. Basically it’s sponsorships paid to athletes for endorsements or autographs etc. these used to not be allowed and all colleges are working it differently some are pooling money and paying all athletes from the pool so e are allowing individual athletes to keep there nil money themselves it’s the Wild West right now for NIL |
...said the parent whose daughter didn't make Capital blue or orange. |
I’m going out on a limb here by guessing you didn’t go to Yale. |
The haters are out in full force. Worry about your own kid getting an offer. Probably never played a day of sports in your life either! |
|
The comments on this thread are insane ! You all should feel great about the fact that your daughters play lacrosse in the DMV. That alone is a huge advantage for recruitment. Coaches don't care if your DD played for M&D, Heros, Capital, Skywalkers. They all play in the same brackets at all of the best tournaments in the country (another advantage being all drivable).
The club teams are all great, the schools are all great and what ultimately gets you recruited is YOUR PLAY and YOUR GRADES. So all of this BS about what club team is better is just distracting you from truly enjoying the moment, which by the way goes by way faster than you can imagine. Get over yourselves and be supportive parents to your girls. |
